Of course the elites who control our institutions want to indoctrinate our children to insure their continuance in power and to further implement the agenda. Then again, were not most children of the baby boom and the depression indoctrinated by the government to further the agendas of that time? The media and technology that existed then seemed to promote the government's position on recovery, WW2, and the cold war. Good or evil indoctrination depends on view point I guess.

That's why no school vouchers and charter schools for the great unwashed. Only the elitist are allowed to have their children get a good education,after all, their indoctrination will be taught at home and they want their children to excel and control the future generations.

I worked an extra job so my son could go to a catholic high-school. My wife took extra jobs in the summer when she was not teaching. We are not wealthy but we got it done.

You can sit back and complain all you want or you can figure out how to do something about it.

We did and it worked out well.

A real education equips kids with the philosophical tools to comprehend (public) schooling itself, to see it in its social and historical context, to understand its origins and to appreciate the world as it was before (public) schooling. You’d better believe school cannot afford for that to happen.
