“Jan just said the State can force you to provide services to someone you don’t want to, and further, your religious beliefs don’t matter.”

Yep. And not only do your religious beliefs not matter, NONE of your beliefs/convictions matter, religious or not. In other words, your thoughts and beliefs are now subject to “thought crimes” punishable by the government.

This is where we are. As I said we are now slaves or prisoners or subjects of the government. We are not free people. They want to do away with free will.

Well you know what? Slaves/prisoners have ways of sabotaging things. Subtle ways. Slowing things down, little subversive acts here and there. You cannot legislate against free will. Even slaves/prisoners have free will, and they exercise it. It’s the only way to remain sane.

They do now know what they have wrought.

What shall we call a government with a political economy?

Until it is restored, the Constitution, except where it serves the interests of the Democrats, is dead, and with it the Bill of Rights. And the only way the Constitution will be restored is with the blood of Patriots. The soap box is gone. The people have traded freedom and responsibility for slavery and comfort. The ballot box is gone. The Democrat party has learned how to steal and rig elections. That leaves one alternative. It is that or slavery.

Great ideas.

Subversion is the only free will left. The government is making sure of that.

Before our Federal Politicians stuck a “Left Fork” into our Constitution, the sign in the window that read: “The owner of this establishment reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.” was held to be the Owner’s Fair notice of his protected Freedom of Choice.

A gay man on the hannity show said the goal is to take away the tax exempt status of every church that refuses to marry same sex couples... Hannity did not challenge this man and agreed to the vetoing of religious freedom... I am through with hannity.

“Wait til they go after the churches for refusing to marry them. That is the endgame.”

Let’s hope the “silent” pulpits will “speak up.”

I wouldn’t give her that much intellectual credit. She’s a pandering politician, and is simply pandering to the group she most wants to please right now. She’s a lame duck, and is looking for a post-gubernatorial sinecure. She’s been shopping this since the instant she nailed down her most recent Primary.

It, and she, are not any more complex than that.

I guess there were cheers from the protesters when they heard the veto news, however I’m sure the DNC, DCCC MSNBC, and the rest of the lefty Fundraisers and networks were DISAPPOINTED. The tactical people on the left ARE DISAPPOINTED with this veto, because they wanted to make this a campaign issue about civil rights.

No shoes, No shirt, No service.
If someone came into my shop and tried to force me to provide service, do you think they would get the best service?....
Film that wedding and oops the pictures are lousy. Bake a cake, oops forgot the sugar... etc.

Exactly right - so did any of these people actually receive the services they sued to get?

I prefer to think of it as, as Rush says, illustrating absurdity with absurdity.

And it is absolutely absurd to walk into a cake shop, invoke the heavy hand of government, and force a Christian to go against his beliefs and provide services to a sodomy ceremony. Completely absurd.
