Hollywood Hypocrisy

If there's one constant in life in regards to liberals, it's hypocrisy. The darling elites that love capitalism when it fills their coffers as they live in feudal splendor decry that very system when it comes to the rest of us. The latest bit of Hollywood hypocrisy is that a number of film industry groups have gathered together in a petition asking for tax relief. Yep, the same people who spent years whining that the Bush tax cuts favor the rich and hurt the economy (all lies as the tax cuts helped everybody and tax revenues to the federal government doubled) now want....tax cuts for the rich.

Yep, the titans of the film industry and those who participate in it aren't the so-called "99%" they say they represent. The head of Paramount, Brad Grey, is worth $300 million and makes $29 million per year. The odious Sean Penn has a net worth of $120 million. Russell Brand, who openly wishes for communism, is worth around $15 million dollars. Anti-American Harvey Weinstein is worth $150 million. Do you see these rich tycoons giving away their fortunes to charity or demanding to make less money so those who work for them can make more? Nope.

Yet Hollywood loves to show business people in an evil light, ripping off the poor and the environment in order to make a buck. Yet these Hollywood hypocrites do exactly that. How big is the carbon footprint of a movie production or the average home of a Hollywood executive or star? I can certainly say it's a hell of a lot bigger than mine. (Please understand I don't believe the global warming nonsense. I'm just pointing out that they push that bile but refuse to live within the means that they want all of us to do.)

What's even more hysterical with Hollywood begging for tax breaks is that this is a scenario they created themselves. First, they make the business of making movies and tv shows incredibly expensive with bloated unions and pie-in-the-sky costs. They also shell out tens of millions of dollars to actors to work a few months, all within a catered and air-conditioned environment. The second is that when other states and countries offered tax breaks to film in those locations, Hollywood grabbed those opportunities with both hands. You would think that they would have the courage of their convictions and say no, that they're staying right there in LA and continue to film under the system that they created. But since we're talking about liberals, which automatically means being a hypocrite, they took advantage of such deals. Of course, they bemoan the fact when other industries do the exact same thing.

But that's the beauty of being a hypocrite. You can rail against capitalism like Patrick Stewart, but charge convention fans, who save for an entire year to go to said convention, two hundred dollars a pop to get his autograph. You can be an anti-Second Amendment nut like Sean Penn but could have owned sixty-five of them. You can be worth tens of millions as a Hollywood player, but it's fine to hire illegal aliens at a cheap rate to raise your children and mow your lawns. Laws are only for the peons of society like us. Hollywood elites are part of the aristocracy who get to live above such constraints. Yet they'll continue to rail against the things that they openly practice, thus showing us the true nature of Hollywood...hypocrisy.

Absolutely correct.

That’s because liberalism isn’t about politics. It isn’t even a religion, as some claim.

Liberalism is war.

It’s war against civilization itself, and all of the constraints of civilization. All of the limitations people accept as part of being human beings, of seeing themselves as they really are, and being adults, and doing their duty to all of those many requirements.

Liberalism is war against all of that. It is the immature, childish rage against adulthood, and the determination of a two year old to take everything, obey nothing, lie to everyone and destroy what it can’t have.

It is war against life by the insane.

And therefore, it is demonic.

Self-described intellectuals know that someone needs to restrain the other rabble from enjoying privileges that should only belong to the smarter ruling class.

As in Thomas Sowell’s book, The Vision of the Anointed.

In order for the proles living under the heavenlike condition of communism to know how to live, obviously they have to have leadership. Hollywood provides this leadership. Some Industries are More Equal than Others.
