Each large chain store has their own brand of multi-bean soup packages with the seasoning inside. Mine are Kroger brand, one called ham flavor beans and one spicy. I don't have enough space in my garden area to grow beans, so I have more than a year's worth professionally packed without oxygen plus the ones I keep buying at the store. Naturally, the professionally packed ones do not contain seasoning.
A book I have gives a way to cook dry beans fast using not much fuel and I tried that and didn't bother with putting any seasoning in, just wanted to see if that cup of beans would get soft in that shorter amount of time. They did get soft and I tasted them and without seasoning, they were tasteless. That's when I ordered large plastic jars of Fiesta bean seasoning from San Antonio. They do have a website to order that. That seasoning is for the long term packed beans. The ones I get at the grocery do have that seasoning packet in there.
The way I am dealing with this bad news all over the world plus I see our country is falling, is to think of my world being my house and garden and making my world work when the outside world fails. I have separated my existence from the outer world - I have gone John Galt. Who is John Galt? He is me.

Thanks B. As I mentioned before, I have been expecting “ugliness” for decades. I think we are living I borrowed time right now. I see many here on FR talking about prepping, food/fuel/weapons storage etc. That is all well and good. I agree with it. To me, however, the sticking point is, I wonder how good will all that be, if they are suddenly confronted by hungry, marauding, murdering mobs, intent on getting their food? Those who are prepared, can only take a certain number down, before they are overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Unless they hang out with big groups, those mobs will do them in. I am sure there are no easy answers to this, but these are some if the things I think about. Thanks again bro.

Bingo, FRiend. I've always been a "country" type: my grandmothers canned, and we hunted when I was growing up to supplement the larder.
But I kicked it into HIGH GEAR when I saw that Emperor Zero was going to be coronated.
And haven't let up since.
Y'all stay prepared.
We could ride this storm out, if we adopted a low-tax, low-regulation, sound-money regime that did not tax money made overseas.
