I didn’t know that “cracker” was “racist. I thought it applied to the old southern, low education whites (aka hillbillies). Used by other whites to describe them.

Now “honky” is racist unless it is said by Richard Pryor to Chevy Chase (”Honky, honky”. One of the funniest SNL skits of all time.

My car goes “honky, honky” all the time at the dumbassed drivers we have in DC. What I say cannot be printed in most newspapers in the world. Makes Darren McGavin’s long screed in “A Christmas Story” seem innocuous.

When will people in business learn to SHUT UP? I was in business for 50 years...cardinal rule...never discuss politics! Wow! A leftist attacks Phil Robertson and Sarah Palin with lame insults that are nothing more than clumsy, sophomoric attempts at 'humor' that is about as funny as a cancer diagnosis. This is SOP for the left, attempting to follow the Alinsky 'rule' that isolates and ridicules the 'target' to destroy their credibility and drown their message in raucous laughter. It often works - but not this time.

This and other outbursts are simply evidence of the left flailing about because they understand that if people as popular as Phil Robertson and Sarah Palin have credence and the American people empathize with them and their conservative message, the left's advancement of their agenda will be stopped. That's what Phil Robertson did in the infamous GQ interview that attempted to mock him but ended up hurting the left's drive to 'normalize' what is not at all normal: homosexual behavior.

The left's so-far successful attempt to reorder American culture is in danger, and all because of a bearded Louisiana duck hunter who spoke Biblical truth. Most rational people inherently reject homosexual acts as unnatural and perverse, which is why the left gets angry if 'gay' sex acts are actually described.

At this moment, the left is losing this battle and we can expect lots of these frantic attempts to ridicule and marginalize both their favorite target - Sarah Palin - as well as a new target, Phil Robertson. I'm on the side of Phil and Sarah.

There are distinctions being made with these names, not always derogatory, especially among the people themselves to whom the name can apply. A Redneck is not necessarily a Cracker, a Hillbilly is not necessarily a Redneck and is highly unlikely to be a Cracker, a Cajun certainly is a Coonass but is very unlikely to be a Cracker, Crackers are typically found from central Georgia on down through central Florida and perhaps on across the Panhandle into coastal Alabama, they're a distinct culture with their own unique food, architecture, breeds of livestock, horses and dogs. Outsiders just sling these names around in an attempt at being derogatory, but ave no idea what they're talking about. They just get laughed at by most.
