Obama isn’t running for re-election. What difference does any of this make?
Well the Democrats and half the Republicans sat in their seats and let him go, so maybe people will try some Tea Party candidates next election,
Well, many Dems will be running, and Obama has completely steam-rollered them because there has been no opposition at all within his own party so they are identified with him. The fact that he acts entirely through executive orders and doesn’t even let the Dem legislators legislate must be a little galling to them, overall, combined with the fact that he then blames them for his bad moves.
That said, I’m not even sure the voting public will remember this next year. They will just accept the chaos and misery as one more thing brought to them by the Glorious Leader who knows best, and vote Dem as usual.
Ted Cruz did the correct thing getting out front of Obamacare, so he and those who coalesce around him are the only ones who don’t get the blame. The RINOs should get what they deserve for their duplicity....using anti-Obamacare as a campaign issue but behind closed doors working to make it happen.
The key difference, of course, is that Bush wasn't responsible for the damage Katrina caused.
Katrina was nothing but a successful effort by Dem's to coverup their incompetence and corruption at the city and state level.
Since the Dem's portray Katrina as something less than Bush's worst screwup, they can still say hussein isn't as bad as Bush,
This ENTIRE TOME could have been written without mentioning Bush at all. NYT is hopelessly f-ed.
Bushit...
The mayor was a coward and the governor was a drunk.
Romney's Fault???
Really????
I mean, REALLY??????
If true, probably only because he cant run for a third term. They havent abandoned other democrats that will take his place in the future even if they make the same promises obama did.
Wow I always find such enlighten news out of the NYT. I never realized that hurricane Katrina was a law that Bus pushed through in the middle of the night, signed then spent millions to advertize and was caught by the damage it caused. Was it called the ANA or Affordable New Orleans Act?
I must be a low informational voter who thought Katrina was a natural disaster made worse by state and local democratic officials incompetence and greed only to be saved by Bush.
Bush was all over the approaching storm, telling people to get out of the way and pleading with the idiot Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco to let FEMA in to get pre-positioned.
1. The idiot mayor of New Orleans, Nagin did nothing.
2. Blanco would not permit the Fed Gov in.
The traitorous media tried to hit Bush on this and in large measure succeded.
Liberals vote. Conservatives have better things to do.
As I recall the divisions under Bush began because those taxed enough already hated the Bank bailout, and the immigration bill. Things just escalated under Obama and now it’s clear who in the Republican Party stands for us and who stands for us only during campaigns and fundraising.
Dear New Orleans: Please apologize to the nation for building your city in a bowl next to the Gulf of Mexico.
Bull crap
That’s exactly right, and there’s another difference.
This disaster is entirely of Obama’s own making. His administration was blindsided - not by an actual hurricane - but by their own legislation.
This is the beginning of the end for Obama. Its not the end—but the beginning of a long death sprial that will see him crash and burn. Watch as new scandals emerge and new corruption surfaces? The sad truth is—Obama doesn’t know how badly he is hurt. He still thinks the people love him and he’s one good speach away from high approval ratings. It must be someone elses fault—Fox News, Tea Party, Ted Cruz, GOP? anyone but his own. I predict dark times coming for him—I do not see him finishing out his term of office.
