The Wounded Warriors Project (WWP) pays millions of dollars for commercials showing injured service members. Many were forced to sign non-disclosure agreements (Why?). I have talked to many Veterans who were promised many things from WWP and did not receive anything in return for the use of their likeness in commercials and print ads.
The commercials do not mention anything WWP does to help the injured service members. Listen closely to the commercials as they parade an injured veteran around like an injured animal. They pay famous actors and musicians to pull on the nation’s heart strings. Fox News takes...

When my son was injured and required extensive hospitalization in 2011 (he is a Marine), it was Fisher House, Semper Fi Fund and Charity Works who provided for travel expenses, lodging, food, rental cars; even cash for essentials for the family while staying with the injured.
(Our troops injuries rarely result in a week stay at the hospital, my son was in for 14 months, and they encouraged family members involvement as much as possible).
They were wonderful, and came to the hospital to check on the family members.

They will just enough good work like that to then use such actions to gain additional donations. It is called propaganda: Do a little good then leverage it to the hilt.
This sucks. I gave them a lot of money.
I think we got those same mailings ....and WWF also sends out lots of stuff...so I finally told them to shove it! Fisher House will get our contributions.
Well, I do not give much to charity organizations, because of the potential, destructive corruption that comes with their initial good intentions...
But the fact still remains...We have millions of Veterans that DO need a little encouragement (at the very least) to get through rough times...
It is not hard to find Veterans in need, it takes a lot to get them to open up, accept help, if they need it...It sometimes takes another Veteran to get one to open up and be amiable to folks that genuinely want to help...
It is not an easy path...For anyone...
It take patience, love of country, love of liberty, freedom, and understanding that it takes more than words sometimes to give comfort to those Veterans that are going through a challenging period in their lives...And also to know it is sometimes more than just them, it is their spouses, and extended family...
You have to look at the big picture, and not get caught up in any distractions...
That’s been my experience in supporting Veterans I have met into over the last 20 years...
What will really cook yer noodle...Most want to help, rather than recieve assistance...
There is confusion between two helping organizations.
There is a sepate organization of active duty Marines, which deals only with injured Marines.

THAT incident was what stopped us from donating anything to them.
I give to a local charity. I know the founder, know the volunteers (not paid staff) running it, and know their work. They don’t run ads.
I have heard encouraging things about Fisher House...It is a growing organization from the aspect that they are not growing, their services in cities around the country are what are expanding...
You might remember the Silver Star Families of America. Mission is to remember, honor and assist the wounded, ill, injured and dying of our Armed Forces from all wars.
And over 97 cents of every dollar goes right where you want it to.

I can't imagine that would've helped. The VA is famously inept and slow, and nobody in a position of power seems to give a shit. Coming to hospitals near you via Obamacare!

Look over this fraud. UNITED STATES NAVY VETERANS ASSOCIATION. A total scam by John Cody AKA Bobby Thompson. Cody is in jail pending trial after absconding with $ millions of well intended donations. Look him up on google images with Bush McCain and Bohner. Cody was on FBI wanted list for espionage all the while he conned everyone. An army Vet and Harvard law grad. A dirt bag.
It is sad that there are groups raising money for wounded veterans when you realize that this means that the government is not providing adequately for them. There should be no need that the government should not be providing for injured war vets.
Wow. So .002 percent winds up actually going to a recipient?
That means to get $100.00 dollars of aid to a vet you would have to donate $50,000?
Think I’ll just stick with giving money to individuals I meet who I think are deserving.
I’m sure they do, but the underlying problems never, ever get fixed.
