"I'm Covered": HealthCare.gov BS
My irritated psyche | 11/3/13 | T-Bird45

First ever vanity -

Was watching the Minnesota-Dallas game on Fox when this misleading ad came on to claim how all these people are "covered" for healthcare for things like check-ups and accidents.

TOTAL BS!!!!!!

Given the monthly payments and the out of sight deductibles I've seen quoted in multiple articles, they aren't "covered"!!! They still have to pay $$$ out of pocket for those types of expenses until they meet their deductible which will happen NEVER for a normal family that doesn't have a catastrophic illness.

Oh, and the Cowboys just now finally scored a TD to open the second half...

Don’t forget…all those families are saving an average of $2,500 per year, too!

That is true in many cases. About the only benefit is that pre-deductible medical charges will generally be at the insurance company negotiated rate, which can be substantially lower.

Guess what? Preventive care isn’t free. You’re still paying for it.

And that's a good thing. Because we don't need "prepaid health care" and we do need "health insurance".

HealthCare.gov is like something Dr. Forrester would create.
