LG Candidate Ralph Northam Refuses To Shake The Hand Of A Black Man
By Thor's Hammer, Friday, November 1, 2013
It is tradition based upon manners and common decency that at the end of candidate debates or forums that each candidate will shake one anothers hand as a show of good sport.
Apparently, Democrat candidate for Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam missed that memo.
Not to worry, GOP LG candidate E.W. Jackson extended his hand to Northam in such a gesture, so you would expect it to be reciprocated.
Nothing.
So, Jackson extended his hand EVEN FURTHER, practically into Northams hand.
Still nothing.
northamFinally, Jackson just gives up.

Why wouldnt Northam shake Jacksons hand?
Is Northam oblivious, clueless or racist?
Why wouldnt Northam shake the hand of a black man?
Northam forgot his sheets that day.
/ end most probable explanation.
A white republican candidate would have been excoriated for not shaking a black opponent’s hand (any person actually).
Doesn’t surprise me at all.. with democrats, politics is a blood feud. They don’t just oppose you, they despise and want to destroy you.
Northam just proved himself to be the liberal prick that he is.
Northam is a scum as is the entire democrat ticket. They have been running ads that are just flat out lies in most cases. We are facing such huge expenditures from the Democrat machine it is unbelievable.
Yes it would’ve been a headline.
Scott Rigell, my 2nd District Congressman mad a point to go on the local news and let everyone know he wasn't endorsing Jackson. I made a point of letting Rigell know that I will never vote for him again and will ib fact vot FOR his challenger.
Very poorly written article.
Very poorly written article.
The reason we have such lousy people in office, especially obumbler and his cohorts, is that too many voters have the same kind of shallow mind you have.
Here the author has shocking information that should offend every reasonable person that reads it; that should end the political aspirations of Northam, and all you have to say is that it is a poorly written article.
Thanks for your dramatic and inspirational post. Your insight is awesome.
It'd be nice to know which debate the blog was referring to. Have there been more than 2?
What a bunch of garbage.
I would think very few blacks in liberal VA would support Mr. Jackson.
I love Bishop Jackson. May the Lord lift up more men like him.
Apparently this was in some TV interview based upon the following. You can't
tell what was being discussed so you don't know the intention of the hand offer.
I would refuse to shake Zero’s hand. I only shake hands with those whom I am interested in beginning or maintaining a relationship with. Zero doesn’t qualify under those guidelines.
Candidates for Virginia Lt. Governor, Republican E.W. Jackson, left, and Democrat Ralph S. Northam shake hands after a debate at George Mason University, Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 in Arlington, Va.
Not always, fortunately. I had a friend who was a Democrat. When I was County Republican Chairman he decided to run for state representative. I told him I'd have to support his opponent. His reply was, "I know. It's just politics." We're still friends.
Democrat candidate for Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam......would have been forced to withdraw his candidacy had he been a Republican.
