It's that time of the week where we once again look over the crop of malcontents, progressives, and anti-Americans who has risen to the top of the heap in sheer odiousness. Normally we have to sit down and make some hard decisions as the left always seems to have a bumper crop of idiots, all vying for our Jerk of the Week honors. However, our decision this week was childishly easy as a true lunatic has began to run amok. Ladies and gentlemen, our Jerk of the Week: Alan Grayson.
For those of you who don't know of Alan Grayson, count yourself extremely lucky. Grayson is the US Representative of the 9th congressional district of Florida. He was a US Representative from 2008 to 2010, then was defeated, but returned to plague the halls of Washington in 2013. Despite his populist rhetoric of being a man of the people, Alan Grayson is quite wealthy, being the third wealthiest member of Congress with a net worth of over $31 million. Grayson is known for his unhinged, lunatic observations such as Republicans wanting people to die and for also running campaign ads that blatantly lie and distort the truth. This week, he reached a new low where he compared the Tea Party to the vile KKK.
Grayson sent out an email that showed a burning cross that formed the "T" of Tea Party. Many on the right immediately condemned the email and a few on the left offered some tepid thoughts (such as it being "disappointing"), but Grayson refuses to yield. He spews, “There is overwhelming evidence that the Tea Party is the home of bigotry and discrimination in America today, just as the KKK was for an earlier generation. If the shoe fits, wear it.” Ah, don't you love the new civility that Obama and his progressive allies preach?
I believe that Alan Grayson is clinically insane and should get some professional help. He's an embarrassment and how he ever got re-elected, I don't know. Sadly, I live very close to his district so his political ads would crop up during election time. I feel I should sue for grievous injury for mental abuse and cruelty after being exposed to such rabid, factually challenged commercials. To show how much of an absolute nutter he is, Grayson actually accused MSNBC host Martin Bashir of collaborating with the Tea Party. Bashir is as far a progressive liberal as you can get and the very thought of him actually agreeing with anything the Tea Party stands for is ridiculous. Yet, when Bashir repeatedly pressed Grayson how he could compare the Tea Party with the KKK as the Tea Party has never committed any violence, Grayson just grew more unhinged and said that if you don't fight the Tea Party, then you're guilty of collaborating with it. Knowing that this madman is an elected official from my state just makes me incredibly ashamed of being a Floridian. For being an unhinged lunatic who spits lies as easily as people breathe air, Alan Grayson is our Jerk of the Week.
Jackasses like Grayson give lawyers a bad name.
