It Feels Good To Be An Obama Crony: Website Butcher CGI Gets Nearly $100 MILLION For $22K Donation

Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew said that President Obama is “frustrated” by snags in the Obamacare rollout.

But how about American citizens who either are having trouble enrolling in Obamacare or are suffering from the shock of rising healthcare insurance premiums AND the size of their deductibles?

The anecdotal stories of “sticker shock” are legion (for example, here is a story from New Jersey). And physicians in New York are howling as well.

Of course, there are many winners in the Obamacare rollout. Some households will receive added benefits and healthcare benefits that they previously didn’t have. But the biggest winners are … government cronies and contractors.

Here is a list of contractors that received over $1 million in Obamacare contracts.

The Urban Institute?

CGI, the contractor for the disastrous Obamacare website, was number two in contract size at $93.7 million. Despite the fact that a Canada province fired CGI after it missed three years of deadlines and failed to deliver the province’s flagship online medical registry.

Sunlight Foundation published a list of contractors and their lobbying efforts. contractors10-10-13.

The biggest contributor to the Obama campaign was University of California at $1,630,827, but they only received a contract for $12,000.00. That is an investment ratio of 0.01. CGI, on the other hand, contributed $22,205 to the Obama campaign but received a contract for $93,700,000. That is an investment ratio of 4,219.77!

Seriously, CGI was awarded $93.7 million to build the U.S. government’s federally-facilitated health insurance exchange … and all we got was a disaster?

I’m surprised Initech from the movie Office Space wasn’t on the list.

Damn, it’s good to be a government crony!

What in the world is going on when the state university system in California is donating ANY money to a presidential campaign, let alone over a million and a half?

So an International company can donate to a presidential campaign?

Wonders never cease.

It’s worth repeating this fact here:

Toni Townes-Whitley, Senior Vice President at CGI Federal for Civilian Agency programs, is Princeton Class of 1985-—same dumbed-down class as Michelle Obama. Both are members of Association of Black Princeton Alumni.

I know this is probably not a complete list, but it looks like all the Obamacare contracts went to Obama donors:

I am starting to wonder if CGI really did botch the website. Do not forget, IF you do not have insurance on Jan. 1, 2014 you will be fined, excuse me TAXED by the IRS. This could be a little added boost to the Federal coffers. Deficit fighting, Ya know.

I was going to post the same question. That can’t be correct. Maybe some employee group or something but not the school.

Right?

They probably donated from one pot of money and received $1.6 million in federal grant money for another. IOW, the taxpayers donated $1.6 million.

How does that make you feel?
