> “It doesn’t matter what the truth is to the media. They will make sure the responsibility is laid heavily on the shoulders of the Republicans. I don’t agree with that, not in the least, but it is a reality.”

This is not reality, this is defeatist.

Fact 1: Liberal media viewership and readership is waning year over year.

Fact 2: Conservative media is growing robustly.

Fact 3: Conservatives form a plurality of voters and a majority if the 6,000,000+ strong blue collar Perot bloc are included.

Of course the New York-DC liberal media will grind it into you that resistance is futile and apparently with you they have succeeded.

But I ask you what prompted Americans to sweep statehouses and the House just a few short years ago against all of the liberal media spin?

***doomed to failure***

Just like throwing hundreds of thousands of young Russian conscripts at the invincible Nazi army at Stalingrad was.

"The Establishment" is looking to torpedo Cruz for one reason only. One does not upset the apple cart and survive in Washington. The status quo must be maintained. The Gravy Train must roll.

Which is why the entire cesspool needs to be flushed and rebooted. Those unctuous miscreants stopped doing 'the people's business' many decades ago.

I agree with you for the most part, and have voted for a few Libertarian candidates when they were better than all others. I’m staying Independent for now. If the TEA Party doesn’t force some serious changes in the GOP, I’ll join the LP.

Again, I agree, to a certain extent. Yes, conservatives swept a lot of governorships and state houses. Against the media, yes. At the same time, we have the most liberal President in modern history, with the poorest record of any President in modern history, yet he managed to win a second term.

I believe that win is a direct result of two things. First, the media propped him up continually. They played his “war on women” mantra until we were sick to death of it. Second, a majority of American voters bought that crap, even though it was obvious it was a flat out lie.

I am not defeatist. I intend to fight, as I applaud the fight Ted Cruz is waging. I’m just trying to acknowledge the uphill odds we are facing.

Imagine belonging to a club, one that affords the most this country has to offer....Democrats (and the Administration) in charge realize the value of sharing a bit of that power...it is needed to keep the appeasement coming; it is called second-tier power. Just like when Alexander conquered a country, he would leave one of the local appeasers in power....share some of the wealth.

I think that's the best description of the House and Senate that I've ever read. Thank you for posting it.

I’d be happy to support a 3rd party, but a 2nd one is needed first. People need to learn to abstain when voting unless there is a candidate without a D or R appended to their name. Throw out all incumbents.

Excellent summary and I never knew Alexander did that. Second tier power is a great way to describe the GOP methods.

Cruz was supposed to sit there like a good boy and vote ‘present’ until the good ole boys decided he was ready for more power.

This thing that Cruz started is gaining momentum and it looks to me as though the GOP elites are taking notice. I saw Rove on Greta last night, and he was falling all over himself praising Cruz’s intentions (although “respectfully disagreeing” with his style).

The Republicans could have embraced the Tea Party movement. Instead, they fought with it. Now all the GOP establishment can do is whine about the Tea Party.

LDJ The caption on your opus whould read:
Socialist Media Driving GOPES (gop elite snobs) Garbage Truck
Because that’s who Cruz critics are responding to. For as smart as some of these people are, with the exception of “Andy Dean” who’s as dumb as a box of rocks. All of them are responding to assertions being made by the socialist agenda driven visual media. As they mete out their visual junk laced with socialist/commie dope to the LIV.

If your a “Republican” and criticize “conservatives” or the “tea party” and I put those in quotes and go to these sources to spout off you get promoted to a GOP leadership role. But who are those sources and how many people watch them and what is their impact ?

Don’t over react, or go to those links when their comments are posted here in FR. Be dissmissive of their remarks and the sources the’re using. Take a guy like Peter King. During elections “can this guy carry his home precinct” ? The media he’s using to carry his mess if it’s print it’s “fishwrap” smelling up the news stand”. If it’s cable “ who watches this loser on a loser network” ?

By responding that way you have more impact and are closer to the truth than an explitive disgused in alphabet soup.

Also if you post an article and it’s about some politician from a state. Go to that state board and pick out a few of the posters in that state board and ping them in your comments so you get some comments from that state concerned.

I am going to say it only one time here. The Republicans and the Democrats (and their RICH friends) are so attached to the public teat that they do not CARE what is happening to the United States. They think that they still can feed from the carcass even after it is morbidbound. Everyone in authority needs to be removed and replaced with conscience people.

It doesn’t matter what the truth is to the media. They will make sure the responsibility is laid heavily on the shoulders of the Republicans.

So, so right.

But SO WHAT!!!

Here's the truth: Most Americans think the media is full of crap.

So what the media does is irrelevant EXCEPT in that so many people simply cannot find the fortitude to STAND UP AND FACE DOWN the illusion it produces of what America is. The media is is made up of about 99.9 percent socialist-leaning liberals, but American society is made up of at best 30 percent socialist-leaning liberals, at least among LEGITIMATE voters, not the cheaters and multiple-voters and manufactured and ginned voters the Democrat party "brings" to the polls every election. In real on-the-ground terms, socialist-leaning liberals are a decided minority in America; their candidates win because Democrats cheat; if Democrats didn't cheat, they'd lose because we outnumber them.

But in the media, socialist-leaning liberals are a vast majority, and so that is the picture the media presents to America and the world of America. The problem isn't so much the media, as it is Americans not being able to perceive that the media FALSELY REPRESENTS reality.

Republicans know who the rel enemy is: big government. The democrats are the party of big government, but there are GOP insiders who have joined them at the trough.

I'm of the opinion that Republicans get too comfy in DC...limos,...

You are correct. Like the old saying goes "If they're not corrupt when they get there, they will be when they leave." or something like that.
