Students say Obama deserves Peace Prize, but can't say why

By Katherine Timpf

Watch Video HERE

Students at the University of California (USC) said that President Obama definitely still deserves his Nobel Peace Prize — but had a hard time explaining why.

“I just feel like in general being a good guy, it’s just creating a lot more peace and like, mellow,” said one student, adding, “I love Obama, and I love everything he is doing. I just feel like everyone is so hard on him and it’s only his second year.”

When asked what the difference was between President Obama and President Bush invading the Middle East, that student’s answer was simple:

“Bush, I just didn’t like him,” she said. “I just don’t.”

Other students explained that some of his initiatives — such as his economic policies and Obamacare — made Americans happy and so led to world peace.

One student said he thought Obama had strengthened diplomatic ties “with countries” but could not explain what he meant.

“Just good-natured intentions,” he said.

Erratum: The video was shot at the University of Southern California--not the University of California. The Social Sciences building can be seen in the background, with Waite Phillips Hall, the education school, to the left.

More evidence that today's young people comprise what Mark Bauerlein calls the Dumbest Generation.

I have this depressing feeling that so many kids under 30 have lost the American desire for freedom and success and are happy to watch reality shows and live the Life of Julia.

I guess that is the logical result of two generations of progressive control of education and the media.

With the libs controlling Academia and Media, it’s unlikely that we will see another true conservative in the WH in our lifetimes.

Sad, but true.

Remember it wasn’t that long ago that Ronald Reagan was the Governor of California.

Hard to imagine these days that California was once a conservative state.

Now, it’s filled with illegals and leftists and governed by Jerry Brown, BB, and DiFi.

And it happened in just a few decades.

Wait until Illegals are given voting rights. Not that many don’t vote now.

Good Lord. America’s enemies don’t need to use force to bring us down. We have enough native homegrown idiots like those students at USC who will do the work for them. Wow. USC is not a cheap school to attend. The parents of those kids will probably spend or borrow at least one hundred thousand over the four years to get them educated and what will be the end result? They’ll have a braindead liberal child with a college degree, a mountain of debt, and the choice of working part-time for Sears or Target, if they’re hiring. Living in the era of Hope and Change. Isn’t it wonderful.

B. Hussein Obama wants to shut down the US Federal Government so that he will have more free time to play Golf, “away from the fog” of responsibility.

That's so true. I'll bet if the reporter asked questions about the founding of this nation, what's in the Constitution, what we celebrate on July 4, etc., she would get answers that are every bit as moronic.

You could ask people from every generation who love obama and get the same kind of answers.

Hard to imagine these days that California was once a conservative state.

As late as 1990, George Deukmejian, a conservative Republican, sat in the governor's chair.

I remember reading a paper about 15 years ago that was written by the general in charge of the PLA ( Peoples Liberation Army in China ) that said just that. More specifically that Americas minorities will destroy the country from within.

Pete Wilson, a moderate, followed Deukmejian, and we elected a Republican legislature and passed prop 187 in 1994. Then Motor Voter, the 1986 amnesty and illegal aliens overwhelmed the native electorate.
