I remember when, during the Bush 43 Administration, Bush managed to put a couple of conservatives into the governing boards of PBS and CPB. When the proposals for 'balancing' some of the left-ward tilt of this taxpayer created and subsidized broadcast network came to the fore, the doctrinaire left went up in arms to protest such barbarity!

Even reliable liberals are not safe when they happen to utter unpalatable views that disagree with the left groupthink. Witness Juan Williams' unceremonious boot from NPR in 2010 for remarks made, elsewhere, about concerns with obstreperous Muslims on airplanes. No liberalism there!

And in states with both houses of the state legislature
and the governor’s office controlled by Republicans, all funding for NPR, PBS etc should be reduced to zero.
