McCain Waiting 'A Few Years' Before Deciding on Re-Election Bid

Sen. John McCain brushed aside an impromptu remark on Friday that led some observers to question whether the Arizona Republican plans to seek re-election in 2016.

“To clarify: I've long said I'll wait a few years before thinking about whether to seek re-election in 2016,” he tweeted on Friday. “Focused on our present challenges.”

McCain, who was the 2008 GOP presidential nominee, was conducting an interview with The Wrap website when he reportedly made an off-the-cuff remark to a couple of Obama supporters, according to the publication.

“At this point two supporters of President Obama cut in to thank McCain for being on ‘our president's side for once in your life.’ McCain tells them, ‘The president and I, he's in his last term, I'm probably in mine, the relationship we have had over the past three years is quite good. Quite good,’" the publication reported.

Appearing in “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren,” on Friday, McCain said that Russia’s Vladimir Putin “outfoxed” President Obama on Syria.

He also took a swipe at Putin’s “chutzpah” and penchant for appearing bare chested in photographs.

“I think I’ll start coming on this show with my shirt off to show how macho I am too by the way,” McCain joked.

John...by the way, you’re spent, finito, done, finished, on the trash heap, gone and enough is enough. Go back to your Poker games and say farewell...

More loser quotes from that loser. I hope this is his last term, even shorter would be even better. Nice tagline, by the way.

There are so many clowns and fools in Washington now that they should assign a “Fool Numbering System” so you can refer to your politician of choice. For example, McCain can be F0001.POLJM = F(Fool) 0001.(serial number) POL (Politician) (JM) John McCain.

Then if I want to crticize McCain, I can say:

F0001.POLJM is an a**

Decision has been made for him. I believe any competent Republican primary challenger would win based on how McCain has treated the people he represents.

And we all thought J.D. Hayworth was going to crush McCain several years ago....we all know how that worked out.

If McCain had been elected in 2008, we would be MUCH farther down the road to socialism and communism by now... or, we would have engaged in a full-on thermonuclear war. This hideous man is part and parcel of the global powers and the Saud money interest, and with a Republican label, would have got a lot more passed. Add to that his unstable nature, which could have triggered a nuclear conflagration, and you have the reason why I am grateful this heinous, evil man lost. He was actually worse than Obama.

We were set up in 2008. We were presented a Morton's Fork.

He’s not senile whatsoever. He’s simply, evil and bought.

When McCain told the world that Obama will be a good President, the fix was in.

I’m thinking that he picked Sarah Palin with good intentions, but his liberal democrat campaign team, and some other interests got hold of “our friend from across the isle” John McCain and told him how to keep that dangerous Palin away from the WH if he knows what is good for him. I’m thinking he was handsomely rewarded for throwing the election.

Oh good.Praying that he chooses to retire is more morally correct than praying for his cancer to come back.

Here’s what he is going to do.
Make an agreement to retire if Cindy McCain can be his replacement.

His “logic” will be if immigration reform doesn’t pass, a Republican can’t be elected in AZ.

The GOP-e will buy it, Cindy McCain will become Senator and then she will switch to RAT.
