Most of us can still remember when the idea that homosexuality would one day be considered normal sexual behavior would have been met with disgust and derision. Today we still feel that way about pedophilia. But not for long, for the moonbat masterminds who rule are hard at work reforming our allegedly bigoted taboos. The liberal establishment’s Washington Post provides a massive megaphone for Betsy Karasik to editorialize on the case of former Montana high school teacher Stacey Dean Rambold:
"As protesters decry the leniency of Rambold’s sentence — he will spend 30 days in prison after pleading guilty to raping 14-year-old Cherice Morales, who committed suicide at age 16 — I find myself troubled for the opposite reason. I don’t believe that all sexual conduct between underage students and teachers should necessarily be classified as rape, and I believe that absent extenuating circumstances, consensual sexual activity between teachers and students should not be criminalized."
As with homosexuality, if liberals say it is, then teachers copulating with their 14-year-old students is normal.
"I’ve been a 14-year-old girl, and so have all of my female friends. When it comes to having sex on the brain, teenage boys got nothin’ on us. When I was growing up in the 1960s and ’70s, the sexual boundaries between teachers and students were much fuzzier. Throughout high school, college and law school, I knew students who had sexual relations with teachers. To the best of my knowledge, these situations were all consensual in every honest meaning of the word, even if society would like to embrace the fantasy that a high school student can’t consent to sex. Although some feelings probably got bruised, no one I knew was horribly damaged and certainly no one died."
Then there is the “everybody does it” defense, perfected by our pointy-headed intellectual betters during the days of Bill Clinton’s appalling excesses:
"If religious leaders and heads of state can’t keep their pants on, with all they have to lose, why does society expect that members of other professions can be coerced into meeting this standard?"
Not that Karasicko is willing to drop her selective moral outrage against sexual exploiters…
"I was fired from a waitressing job in Boston in 1979, during my first year of law school, after I refused to sit in the manager’s lap like the other girls. I would have much rather seen that sleazebag dragged through the legal system than certain teachers I considered friends despite their sexual relations with students that today would land them in jail."
This takes the Doctrine of Equivalence to a new extreme of depravity. Some boor asking a waitress to sit on his lap is not merely the equivalent of a rapist violating a child who has been entrusted to his care; it is actually much worse.
Yet again we see that liberals are — by definition — morally insane.
But they are in charge, so get ready to be righteously denounced as a pedophobe if you don’t get with the program.

A “pedophilia gene” will be discovered, then we will hear, ad nauseum, that they were born that way.
I still feel that way about homosexuals.

A teacher molesting a kid is “normal” but the boss asking his adult employee to sit on his lap is worthy of prison?

well, they extracted all the money they could from the catholic church, so now, the lawyers are set to extract money by discrimination lawsuits against people who object to pedophiles where they live or work.

You won’t hear about a pedophilia gene, or a homosexual gene, because if you did, then the question of whether it is a treatable condition or not becomes settled science.
Any normalization is going to be looked at the same way that ads promoting the health benefits of smoking are today.
Anyone who wants to can have the shortest debate ever on the morality of allowing anybody who seeks a cure to sexual dystopia the freedom to pursue a cure for sexual dystopia.
What insurance company will sanction gender reassignment surgery when a genetic therapy for sexual dystopia is under development.
Worst of all for the promiscuous, all forms of consensual homosexuality are forever reclassified as overt perversions. If you, of your own volition, decide to try it out with another man, then you AREN’T homosexual, just perverted, and possibly mentally imbalanced.
It would also take religion completely out of the conversation and put progressives on a field upon which they can’t even fake hoping to win - science.
“Don’t judge” is the current bumper sticker bromide against anyone who has the slightest notion of bridling at all the freedoms we’ve lost to the effort to normalize what is quite clearly a disease.
You find a gene, isolate it, and then find a therapy that reverses it, and the tables shift the opposite direction. The bromide from the right becomes, “Fix yourself.”
And after Obamacare, it becomes, “Fix yourself, don’t cost you nothin’”
The guy that isolates any sexual dystopia genes is going to be a marked man, or woman.
Nobody is interested in a cure for being a pervert. People are having too much fun at somebody else’s expense.
The secular humanist worldview frowns on any world view with dogmatic restrictions against premarital sex, adultery, homosexuality, pedophilia, incest, divorce, abortion, etc. Any ethical stance that may limit human potential is considered outdated. Science is left with the dubious task of determining human potential and ethical norms. If, for example science determines that pedophilia is “biologically determined” at birth,then man/boy love affairs must be sanctioned and given legal rights.

After a while, all of these just become “the new normal.” Homosexuality, pedophilia, and now transgenderism. It’s part of the LGBT’s long-term strategy to impose their perverse agenda on our society.
Two days ago, the Washington Post referred to Bradley Manning as Chelsea Manning (as he now wants to be called) and used the pronoun “she” when referring to him throughout the article. My personal definition of mentally ill person is an individual who has an “adversarial relationship with reality.” Calling yourself a girl when you’re really a guy is a glaring example this. And anyone who buys into it, like the Post, is just as disturbed. The California state government which just enacted a law allowing high-school students to use whatever restroom they choose is another example of mental illness.
I have been saying it for years-—liberalism is a mental disorder. And a liberal is a person who has an adversarial relationship with reality.

You got that right, ansel. Legalize all drugs - not just MaryJane. Porn? Fine, even in public - if you're offended just avert your eyes and cover your kid's. Trash marriage by making all "consensual" relationships its sterile, legal equivalent that ALL must honor, recognize and subsidize.
This phrase nails it. It's not just a question of justifying their own immorality. It really is a disconnect with reality.
