Gabby Giffords’ Anti-Gun Group Caught Accepting Illegal Contributions
Freedom Outpost ^ | 8/20/13 | Dean Garrison

Another anti-gun group gets caught with the proverbial hand in the cookie jar. This time Gabby Giffords has her prints all over it.

The total amount of illegal contributions received was $15,250. That is not a small chunk of change. Giffords’ PAC, Americans for Responsible Solutions PAC, received three illegal donations it has been discovered. This is not coincidence or a mistake. One could be a mistake and two could be coincidence. Three times is conspiracy to defraud.

Publicintegrity.org reports:

Singer, actress and comedian Bette Midler took to Twitter on April 18 to promote Gabby Giffords’ new gun control effort.

“GABBY GIFFORDS SPEAKS, AND SHE IS FURIOUS!!” Midler wrote as she touted a New York Times opinion column authored by the former Arizona Democratic congresswoman who survived a 2011 shooting and has since launched an advocacy group that aims to curb gun violence.

Just weeks later, Midler upped the ante, donating $10,000 to Americans for Responsible Solutions PAC, the super PAC arm of Giffords’ group. The gift came from Midler’s private family foundation, according to campaign finance records.

Before the second quarter ended in June, another family foundation — the Rupa and Bharat B. Bhatt Foundation — contributed $5,000 to the group and the New England Congregational Church in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., gave $250.

They were modest contributions considering the group raised $6.6 million in the first half of 2013 — more than any other super PAC. But they were also strictly prohibited by the Internal Revenue Service.

Nonprofits organized under Sec. 501(c)(3) of the U.S. tax code are restricted from “directly or indirectly” intervening in political campaigns. And private foundations — such as the Midler and Bhatt foundations — are also prohibited from lobbying to influence legislation.

Apparently she didn't suffer much brain damage from that bullet. She's still just as greedy as any other pol. And this explains why Bette Midler wants us to shup up and pay our taxes. The Divine Miss M should stick with what she's been doing since she's been out of the limelight, saving the pigeons that sh!t all over Gramercy Park.

Oh yeah. The “authoritis” will be all over this. Just like when mx. mark kelley giffords couldn’t control his daughters dog and it attacked a seal pup on the beach in kali. You or me would in jail, but as usual, celebs (even self annointed ones) get a pass. So I’m just guessin’ no harm no foul. Kind of like when mx. mark kelley giffords tried to buy an AR in Arizona using his Texas License. Then said he didn’t intend to keep it anyway. Straw purchase? Again, one of us would be in the hoosegow.

This laundering of money from a tax-exempt organization to a non-tax-exempt “action” organization is an old communist techinque used by the Anti-Defense and anti-Vietnam/proHanoi lobbies.

It is documented in a report/testimony in the 1987 House Ways & Means Committee hearings on reforming the Lobbying Act of 1946,etc.

One organization or a coalition of tax exempt organizations donate money to another tax-exempt organization (often a church), who then earmarks it for the “action” (lobbying) group, thus making the original donation tax-exempt.

The Hanoi Lobby used it extensively in their final cut-the-aid to So. Vietnam campaign using the national churches to funnel tax-exempt money to the Coalition to Stop Funding the War, a Tom Hayden-led lobbying effort on behalf of Hanoi (which was created out of the Oct. 1973 Germantown, Ohio “Indochina Peace Campaign” national conference).

It operated out of a congressional office space obtained by communist Rep. Ron Dellumns in the Fall, 1974.

The greatest offenders were the United Methodis Church (Board of Church & Society; Global Ministries; etc); the Presbyterean Church; and the Episcopal Church.

Giffords is alive while several others are dead. She should express gratitude and move on.

Gabby is being used. Used by the Democrats, the virulent anti-gunners, the media and, I think, her spouse.

She would probably be happy to just recover without the intense focus of media and politics...ever notice how she isn’t allowed to speak on her own?

She's the new poster child of the anti gun movement. Easier on the eyes and younger than Jim Brady, whose wife wheeled him out for years.

It's a sad situation for anyone, friend or foe, to be used thus. It's also a comment on those who would use them.

You couldn’t prove it by me.....since her shooting, I certainly haven’t heard her give a speech of more than a few words. Nor have I read anything by here that one could conclusively prove was written by her.

My opinion is that she is very mentally incapacitated and that her husband is ‘speaking’ and ‘writing’ for her. Either him, or some other person in the anti-gun group.

It would seem that they left the extra lobe of her brain intact... the one that only communists and satanists seem to have.
