Conservatives don't defend Traitors
Snowden is a traitor to the current Washington Establishment headed by an usurper in the White Hut. To the patriots, he is a hero who exposed the traitors!
I agree. Snowden is a traitor. We have absolutely no idea what he told China or Russia.
However, the NSA spying program is a blatant violation of the Constitution. In fact, it even violates the Patriot Act. There is absolutely NO reason for this program. It doesn’t do a blessed thing for national security.

True, but as someone more familiar with these issues than I am pointed out on a thread yesterday, the chance that he told China or Russia anything they didn’t already know, is pretty small. Hero or not, we do know however what he exposed, that nobody else had in all those years that these programs existed.

But I have to disagree with you one minor point: Deep down, we all knew this was happening in my humble opinion. Our rights have been under attack ever since the first progressiviks slithered out of the primordial ooze of failed European political theory.
OK, no disagreement. But let’s take a look at it from a slightly different angle.
How many people in D.C. had been aware of the NSA program that Snowden exposed, and for how long? 50? 500? 5000? How many congresscritters? Their aides? And no one until Snowden came out talking. Heck, there are mortgages, car payments to make, I don’t want to get stuck at the Moscow airport for 6 weeks, etc. How many other similar programs are there now tracking G_d knows what else? Is the IRS watching my credit card bills? Where are the patriots there in Washington? I hear crickets.
An entire article about the erosion of our rights, and all you comment about is snowden?

Most of us here may have known or suspected, but to the average joe, this has been a revalation.
The magnitude of this situation is mind boggling. isn’t it ? Why this isn’t the lead story of every media outlet is an almost cosmic mystery.
(OK, not really. We know the arrogant and lazy media is in the tank for the Federal Leviathan. The above sentence was fun to write, however.)

And yet, according to the latest RCP average, Obama still maintains a 43.8% approval rating. Say what you want about polls. but the very fact that he’s not in single digits is quite worrisome.

If Snowden did reveal names of operatives to Russia, China then I will revise my opinion.
But it will be hard to even trust a Regime which corrupted the purpose of the Patriot Act and used the IRS to target Conservative groups.
I've been trying to tell people for a year on here. We've got a 4 star idiot in the Army in charge of NSA but only Congress can approve that billet. He's one thing I'll never thank Tony Zinni or Tommy Franks for.
