You know what would have prevented another 9/11?
Maybe firing all the jack hats in the FBI, CIA, and NSA who said not to worry about the people here on expired VISAs learning to fly a plane but not to land it.
Maybe firing all the ICE and INS agents who didn;t do their damned job and obstructed those who wanted to do their damned constitutional defined job.
Maybe removing all the pensions for the ones above, especially those who ignored the people below them ont he chain who were screaming that somethign be DONE.
Maybe firing those who sought to replace good old fashioned detective work with the lazyness of casting a huge dragnet around ordinay citizens.
Maybe realizing that the power of defending this country lies not in looking at the citizens with scrutiny, but trusting in the citizens because the country is the property OF the citizens and not the other way around.
I could go on, but I don’t wanna have to wrap my head in duct tape to keep it from exploding.

I’m not concerned about bandwagons or parties any more. If someone is right I’m going to agree and if they’re wrong I’ll disagree.
After all, John Conyers was the democrat co sponsor of the failed NSA vote and I’m certainly not going to beat him up for being right for once.
In spite of the temptation, I’m not going to post what I’m thinking.

Considering the one severely limits their corrupt-taxation practices, and the other the ability to incur ridiculous debt, as well as making the violations thereof an instant you're out
w/ forfeiture of all pensions, you bet that it'd get a reaction.
As for ignoring amendments in-general, I think that's going to bite them in the ass. If they can ignore law at-will, then the people are justified in asserting that the law, thus abriged, cannot offer them protection: i.e. voting from the rooftops becomes a valid method for removing people from office in a lawless land.
Nobody ever said, in any context, that Chris Christie was anything other than a “northeastern liberal state RINO”.
He may have been the “great white hope” (or “whale”) to some, but he is a creature of the electorate that put him into office. Composed of doctrinaire liberals and low-information voters, and opposed only by the few conservative or libertarian inhabitants of that tormented place, who are vastly outnumbered and scorned by every office seeker.

Crimestop is not stupidity, or at least not natural stupidity. It is the ability to deliberately retard one’s own intelligence, and, of course, to forget the process of doing it by doublethink.

Only reason I think Conyers was for this was because he probably was pissed the government’s listening to a bunch of black people’s phone calls. Seriously race is the only thing that motivates that guy, I would be surprised if it wasn’t something racial.
It’s just too unpredictable to count on any democrats doing anything for the right reasons. And unfortunately too many (R)’s fall into the same camp as well.
As evidenced in this case, by the failed vote.
It’s time to stop using the term “RINO”.
This is what Republicans are. The real “RINOs” are the conservatives who cling to the Party.
