The Black Women's Agenda Responds To State Of Florida Vs. George Zimmerman Verdict
PR Newswire Blog ^ | July 15, 2013 | Gwainevere Hess

Posted on 07/15/2013 10:13:30 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Responding to the verdict reached this weekend in the case of the State of Florida vs. George Zimmerman, The Black Women's Agenda, Inc. (BWA) announced its intention to advocate for the development of "a uniform, national understanding of laws associated with vigilante conduct, the concept of stand your ground and gun violence."

In a statement released today from the organization's headquarters, Gwainevere Hess, President of The Black Women's Agenda, said: "African-American mothers, grandmothers and women of color across the U.S. shared the anguish of Trayvon Martin's mother, Sybrina Fulton, and our hearts sank a little deeper with the reading of this weekend's verdict in the State of Florida vs. George Zimmerman. However, being depressed or angry by the judicial system does not address the larger issues facing our nation.

"The death of Trayvon Martin and subsequent acquittal of his assailant should be a catalyst for us to collectively focus on the roots of this tragedy and develop solutions for preventing such incidents in the future. Mothers of color should not have to grasp for words to explain to our sons how the verdict in the Zimmerman case uniquely impacts them, or to prepare our children to deal with the unfortunate reality of racial profiling and people who would take the law into their own hands.

"The State of Florida vs. Zimmerman is one case. Even if a violation of civil rights case is brought to fruition on a federal level, it will seek justice in this one case, this one time. The Black Women's Agenda, Inc. is advocating for a positive, actionable response to counter the visceral ill-omen feelings of hope deferred prompted by the Zimmerman verdict. We call for the development of a uniform, national understanding of laws associated with vigilante conduct, the concept of stand your ground and gun violence. This much we owe to Trayvon's memory, our country, God, and ourselves."

The Black Women's Agenda is a national non-profit organization that generates awareness and support for issues affecting Black women worldwide. It is comprised of 19 collaborating women's organizations – sororities, civic, service, and faith-based – representing millions of women nationally and worldwide. Through the development of a social priorities agenda, BWA facilitates discussions that promote effective policies and meaningful change. Probably George Soros.

“Gwainevere.” I even checked to make sure you hadn’t made a typso in the header.

Maybe the black women’s agenda should be giving their children normal-people names, instead of alphabet-scramble.

White people are funding these groups with all the money they send to Washington DC in the form of taxes.

This will give them a second chance to peddle their Stop Snitchin' shirts. Calling the cops was clearly vigilantism because Crayon could have been apprehended and taken to juvie again.

What they need to do is learn to keep their knees together. Barring that, take responsibilty for your offspring and raise them in a heterosexual two-parent home within the bounds of marriage.

They might start by teaching youngsters not to do drugs and not to VIOLENTLY ATTACK other people. I fear this is a direct failure of the culture he was raised in.

Dear BWA witches:

What this country needs is more vigilantes, not less.

If there were a few more George Zimmermans in your neighborhoods, then your people would be a lot safer.

Did you ever read anything about the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood in NYC prior to the 1960s? Even well-organized crime organizations eschewed drug dealing to youths. Occasionally, someone would try. Occasionally, they would end up decorating a lamp post. Back then, street gangs fought with fists, rocks and, occasionally, switchblades.

A lot fewer of your people as well as others ended up dead in the crossfire.

The left really hates the stand your ground laws, looks like Saint Trayvon is their tool for getting them nullified either by the courts or crooked politicians.

The left really hates the individual defending himself from thugs,

because the left identifies with thuggery.

The Black Women's Agenda, Inc. (BWA) announced its intention to advocate for the development of "a uniform, national understanding of laws associated with vigilante conduct, the concept of stand your ground and gun violence."

The White Man's Agenda, LLC (MWA) is hereby announcing it's intention for the Black Women's Agenda to understand that:

(1) Zimmerman was acting as a concerned citizen not as a vigilante; and

(2) Stand Your Ground had nothing to do with the trial.

The White Man's Agenda also wants to know why this is the first time the Black Women's Agenda has gone public concerning gun violence, especially considering the staggering number of young black men killed by other young black men with guns.

Ok, here is your “uniform national understanding”: It is legal, in all 50 states, to defend yourself with lethal force against someone who physically attacks you, if you feel that your life is threatened.

ps... that applies no matter what the race of the attacker is, how cute they are in a hoodie, or if they have a bag of skittles in their pocket.
