The GOP is not going to get the black vote and only about 30% of the (legal) Hispanic vote, no matter what. So why do these idiots keep coming back to pander to them?

The GOP needs to firmly embrace, espouse, and enact conservative principles. The votes will follow.

The GOP must explain the traditional American values, and people will come along.

I disagree. The GOP must forget about race and articulate values - especially freedom. We cannot outbid the Democrats in bribing voters with other people’s money. We should not become a right-wing version of the Democrats - just as racist but pro-white instead of anti-white. We need to articulate why freedom is better than being pets kept by a self-anointed ruling class. We need to articulate why the rule of law is better than the left’s government by mob intimidation. We need someone who will reach out to the swing voters and explain why limited government is to their advantage. Most of all, we need someone who will not compromise with evil, someone who will slash Big Government instead of merely promising to slow the rate of growth.

What’s a “white vote”?

Do they mean “those who hold traditional Western/American values”?

I think they do - they’re just tacking on skin color to try to associate those values with... dum dum dum... “racism!”

US social equilibrium was auto-correcting nicely until the Clintons came along and began trolling for ‘sure votes’ by resuscitating old and previously rectified race issues in America.

THEY are wholly to blame... “O” just continued where THEY where shameless and selfish enough to begin!

Not so much "white" as "conservative" or "religious" or "law abiding". Minorities have been welcome, encouraged even, in the political tents I've been in. We are *all* judged by the content of our character, and not the color of our skin. But don't expect to feel welcome when the content of your character is that of a law-breaking, god-less, progressive-liberal. Not welcome, not welcome at all, regardless of the color of your skin.

The GOP needs to forget about the Hispanic voters, forget about the Black voters, forget about the Asian voters and forget about the White voters!

If the GOP does not want to go the way of the Whigs, they need to concentrate on the CONSERVATIVE voters! Anything else will be a LOSER for them - PERIOD!

The GOP needs to have an agenda and be able to explain it in language that appeals to all voters who are naturally conservative, who want a decent society and a robust, easily participated in, economy.

The GOP has won as high as 56% of the Hispanic vote that was Protestant (2004), and in 2012, in an election that they couldn’t lose, they only got 950,000 more total votes than they had in 2008, in an election that they couldn’t win.

Those two things indicate that the lack of a core agenda, and the inability to reach the decent public, and the inability to debate the left, are the issues, not deciding to go pure white, (whatever that means).

The GOP’s real problem, is that they are at war with core Americanism, not representing it, they are the party of Bill Clinton’s 1990s politics.

From Article:"Either Republicans will learn to live as the unabashed “White” Party ignoring Chuck Schumer’s advice and attacks from the Democrats’ puppet media, or they will become the 21st century’s Whigs."

That is terrible advice. I am sick of racial politics, no matter the party. The GOP needs to focus in LIBERTY and Constitutional limits of government, not race.

Drop all this race crap and be a party of individual freedom.

Principles, worth fighting for, were the reason for the Republican party to exist.

The Whigs lost the mission and lost members. Only the hangers on remain once the principles have been lost; they have nowhere else to go.

The GOPe sucked the principles out of the Republican party and have replaced them with their kinder, gentler flavored version of the progressive, PC, one party, anti-Constitution, one world new world order belief system, and it's crony capitalism, chaos and control.

The GOPe sold US out and has the Republican party Whigging out!

C'ya...don't wanna B'ya!

The GOP needs to focus on conservative votes, not skin color.

But that’s not going to happen. Most GOP elected officials are no different than most Democrat elected officials: the number one concern is self-concern and being re-elected. Everything else is a distant second, particularly doing what is really right for our country and the long-term well-being of our citizens.

Conservative/Republican families at least deserve equal treatment.

Subsidies for poor Democrats lead to more Democrats, while responsible conservatives struggle and resist the urge to fill the world with children they can’t take care of.

Of course conservatives are still required to take care of the children of others while they decline to have their own.

It’s a vicious cycle. The more responsible people are in not having children, the more resources they have to be taken from them and given to less responsible people.

Unfortunately the welfare state isn’t going to disappear, so the best we can do in the short term is to try and level the playing field. Tax payers at a minimum should be able to take credits for the money they spend raising and feeding their own children. They’re already asked to give money away to other families. Shouldn’t they get credit for the money they give to themselves to take care of their families?

I’d go further and give every family the same subsidies no matter the income. There’s competition out their for resources, and a subsidy for one group means another group must struggle. What’s worse, these responsible families are forced to struggle against themselves as the money taken from them in taxes is used so that another can out-compete them in the market for resources and services! The only winners in this battle are the rich and poor. The middle is squeeze mercilessly.

How about we quit worrying about what color our voters are and stick to ideas and principles?

This is stupid. Whites aren’t homogeneous politically.
The Republican Party needs to embrace Conservatism and ignore race altogether.
