Denninger is talking about a general strike.

While I sympathize with his goals, a general strike would be extremely hard to organize, it would have to last for weeks if not months to be effective, & it directly punishes the best part of this nation - the producers, even as the corruptocrats continue to live lavishly on the public teat. After month of strikes, many businesses will be out of business. Financial ruin & chaos for this country & the world is a possibility.

I think there is a better way. It has worked many times before in numerous countries: Massive, peaceful, long term demonstrations in Washington DC & every bastion of the welfare state.

Take the fight to the steps of the houses of tyranny. Fill WDC streets with protests, such that just getting to work is near impossible for the corruptocrats. Let the ruling class taste our anger EVERY DAY for as long as it takes to force mass resignations from them. Single out individual corruptocrats for scorn. Take it to their homes, their boat slips, everywhere they go they are accompanied by truckloads of peaceful, but determined protesters. Make these people so uncomfortable they don't want to be in WDC anymore.

If you are gonna quit your job or close your business to protest the growing tyranny, why sit at home & hope for the best, which may never occur? Why severely weaken the country, perhaps enabling even more tyranny?

Get in their faces in all their places until they squeal like the pigs they are. Fancy dinners in fancy restaurants are not so great when there are 1000 demonstrators just outside cursing your name. The restaurant owner might just ask you not to come back - you ruin his business.

It is better to take the fight directly to the enemy - the ruling class of Washington, DC. Make their lives so miserable for so long that they either resign or change their evil ways.

Patriots don't have to impoverish themselves, nor do they have to be violent; just determined & rock stubborn. Oh, & willing to spend months in WDC, though I think the pigs will start squealing almost immediately. Being uncomfortable is the thing they hate most. Sweat rings look especially bad on an expensive suit.

A million people protesting in front of the Capitol for weeks will get their attention - I guarantee it.

My Chinese-American friend observed that the US is just about the only country that has strikes exclusively against employers and not the government.

Well, there’s a first time for everything.

One possible reason for “no general strikes” is that, unfortunately most of the middle class of the US is two paychecks from being broke. Staying in debt keeps the slaves enslaved.

On the other extreme, Greece has an unemployment rate that would certainly cause mass insurrection in the US, but it doesn’t happen. This is because families and friends take care of one another. Just something to consider.
