Obama has illegally bypassed Congress to delay Obamacare’s employer mandate

As the Obamacare law is written, the employer mandate is to begin in January 2014. This is what the law said when it was passed by the House and Senate, and signed by President Obama in 2010.

However, it has been reported that President Obama has just delayed the employer mandate part of Obamacare until January 2015. Obama did this without approval from Congress.

For Obama to change a law that was passed by Congress, without first getting approval from Congress, is a violation of the Presidential oath that Obama took to uphold and defend the Constitution.

What Obama did here is an action of a dictator, not an action of a President whose power is limited by a written constitution.

If Obama can get away with this, then it sets a horribly dangerous precedent, and means that the President can arbitrarily make any change to any law that has been passed by Congress, without first getting approval from Congress.

If patriot voters could organize to elect 2/3 conservative control of both houses of Congress in 2014 then Congress would have constitutional authority to override presidential vetoes and Obamacare would be out the window.

Remember, Congress wrongly ignored its constitutional Article V requirement to successfully petition the states to ratify an appropriate healthcare amendment to the Constitution before establishing Obamacare. So Obamacare is based on constitutionally nonexistent federal government powers.

the problem is I don’t see anybody will do anything about it. The Dems are just fine with it because it gets past the 2014 election and the repubs aren’t going to push for the beginning of a law they HATE. Congress really SHOULD be outraged about this because it undermines their power but I just don’t see them doing anything for the reasons stated. Who else will challenge him?

This was my FIRST thought when I heard 0bama was delaying this law. He can’t just overturn or delay a Federal law simply because he’s afraid of how it might impact Democrats in an upcoming election. He overturned Federal Immigration Law in order to appease Hispanics to garner more votes for himself in the 2012 election. This was also an impeachable offense. More egregiously, he’s now b!tching and moaning about the need for “immigration reform” AFTER HE HIMSELF OVERTURNED OUR IMMIGRATION LAWS!! A President cannot do these things on a whim, for political gain. When a president overturns, suspends or delays federal laws WITHOUT CONSENT OF CONGRESS..
