They were trying to be funny,

I don't assume that. I think they are sincere.

I would have used to disregard that statement, but I am no longer as sure. Even before Obama was nominated over Hillary, I saw on another forum the suggestion that he might be the antichrist, typical for presidential candidates.

Of course, most of the liberal-leftists strongly denied this possibility, but one came out with the most astonishing opinion.

He said he *hoped* that Obama *was* the antichrist. Because then he would be powerful, and Obama would give “us” free stuff, and just as importantly, that he would *smite* the people “we” hate.

The mindset of this was appalling. He said he was an atheist, so figured since he didn’t believe in “God, the devil, and such”, he was somehow safe from the wrath of “the ultimate evil”.

Obama to one side for a moment, that such people exist at all shows that something is severely culturally wrong. At any time they could decide to embrace some charismatic but totally insane murderous psychotic, and to follow him blindly. He doesn’t have to be anywhere near antichrist level to create a hellish situation on Earth.

In any event, then, let me suggest that I *hope* that these fools in Texas were trying to be funny. Because if they weren’t, the Santa Muerte cult has some recruits waiting, and we could be facing a civil war with a Thuggee army of murderers.
