OOPs sorry, Didn’t mean to the post to neither of you, just want folks to know what was going on. Seems I’ve been accused of being a metals hawk and making money off my prepping advise. As well as purposely leading FR preppers down the road of ruin to my advantage.
I purposely stay away from two prepping subjects metals and bartering ammo, because both cause hard feelings among preppers.
I also in no way make money either through my recommendation of reading various blogs or through any of my recommendation on equipment, food, gear of any kind. I try to rotate the blogs, but there are only so many that post stuff worth reading.
I was very reluctant to take over the Preppers’ Ping list from ChocChipCookie when I was asked but I did and tried to do the best job I could. It’s been good at times as I told someone the other day that I do it because I think of this passage:
But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’Ezekiel 33:6
And though I feel its a duty there have been many times its been a real pain, what with the name calling, bs to a point of having to bring Jim Rob in even to the threats which though many were in anger and bluster more than a couple were serious.
It’s all very disheartening and takes a toll. I will pray on it.

You're doing good work...there are some people you just have to ignore.
Kart, I think we mostly forget when we write on a prepper thread, it’s there for the whole world to read. How many Freeper lurkers are there who have benefitted from your prepper threads? How many around the world have benefitted from your prepper threads? Then, add up the naysayers, the uncouth, the bad language critics, and compare the numbers. The miserable malcontents amount to nothing when compared to those you help. Keep your eye on the goal and not the critics.
When you get verbally attacked, we will be here as soon as we are alerted. Much of the time, I see it when it happens and put on my iron armor really fast and run in. I normally carry my long machete with me that lops off the offending written words thrown at you. If I could be a moderator – ah, but that is just a dream – zot, zot, zot.
Thanks for the new handle of “Iron Lady”. Think I’ll keep it.
