We’re Going Into the Greatest Depression: (shortened)
SHTF Plan ^ | 6/28/13 | Mac Slavo

Posted on 06/28/2013 7:26:10 PM PDT by Kartographer

Look around and you can’t miss it.

The world is on the brink… politically, economically, financially, monetarily, and militarily.

Events are accelerating. Over the last decade trend forecaster Gerald Celente has been blaring the alarms.

If you’ve been paying attention, then you’ve heard them. You know we’re going under.

And this time they’re not going to be able to stop it.

The new and improved phoenix will rise from the ashes at some point

That's a self generated hope because it is not what the Bible says. Isaiah, Daniel, and Revelation all tell us the world will get much, much, much worse.

World wide totalitarianism is coming, and we all can now visibility see it's framework under construction: gun data bases, health care controlled by the government, food supply controlled by government, NSA Big Brother watching our book purchases, on-line viewing, e-mails, and phone calls, cameras everywhere, drones in the sky with cameras, and 1st, 2nd, 4th Amendment rights dead or dying a slow death.

The DOMA decision by the "supreme" court "justices" will usher in swift and brutal persecution of Christians, because it is that group that will refuse to bow. They will be charged with "discrimination" and "hate speech" and pastors and believers harassed and jailed.

Revelation tells us of coming plagues, famine, war, torture, and incredible outbreaks of calamity in nature (drought, earthquakes, increased heat of the sun, poisoned water supply, the list goes on).

It also warns that no one who is still around on the earth will be able to escape these trials. No one.

"Prepping" is never bad advice in terms of stocking food, water, medicine, etc. But it is no substitute for prepping one's soul before Jesus Christ.

Exactly...I see people looking for some 'great revival', but there is nothing in the Scriptures about such an event.

Turn to Jesus, while there is still time and you have breath to call upon his name.

That is the most important 'prepper' advice of all.

So listen to what the bible says: A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it. NIV Proverbs 22:3

That is excellent advice. In my previous post, I noted that prepping was sound advice, but didn't associate my thoughts with the verse you quoted - thanks.

It is sound to take precautions, and to take care of your family.

I have been through 3 hurricanes in the last 7 years, and believe me, I know that being prepared is crucial.

I have to remind myself to include "prepping" for His arrival and prepping my soul.

"Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame."

Revelation 16:15

I though about that verse recently. Any sin that I have recently committed, and not immediately acknowledged and repented of, gnaws at me. As I see the world spinning out of control around me, I am constantly reminded that I need to keep close to Him.

So true - there is a revival in the sense that in the middle of the Tribulation, many, many people in the world FINALLY turn to God. But why would people who are now given God's lifeboat of mercy wait for those days?

I am convinced that God allows such a horrible, terrible time on the earth to come precisely because He knows it is the last (and only) way to convince many of the stiff necked peoples of the world to finally come to Christ.

The US is no longer a Christian nation. Those who are Christians are now paratroopers behind enemy lines.

I got into a debate with a lesbian recently, and her first attack on me was to say "I AM a Christian!" She then proceeded to defend her behavior with her "wife", to viciously castigate the Bible for 1 Tim. 2:12-13, and then to deny all of Scripture as made up myths, stories, legends, and lies.

Ursula the Viking Kitten has made her appearance on that other thread. She didn’t think to demean a prepper thread with the gore of her kill.

One concern I have is that the Resident and/or pbtb might have already made a deal to give up our oil fields and resources to our creditors. We won’t own them. Perhaps we don’t own them even now.

I’d like to clarify my previous post. Where I said, “We won’t own them.” I should not have made it as a pronouncement. I should have stated that in the scenario where such a deal with ptb had been made with creditors, we would not own the resources.

I’m praying of course, that all of this will not take place. However, the directive to get right with the Lord is the prevailing best advice available.

(LOL! Just realized I did a typo in my previous post - “pbtb” should have been “ptb” = powers that be -LOL! need more morning wake up chemicals!)

Mid 2015 seems to be the consensus of many. Who knows. We’re living on borrowed time.

The Bible is real good as a history lesson. But it's not too good at predicting future events..

If you want to know what will happen generally speaking in the future you can extract this from history, as history always repeats it's self.

Civilizations rise and fall....always, like a perpetual clock. We are not the exception to the rule.

So yes, I believe the phoenix always rises from the ashes only to die later, as predicted. The only exception that I can see to this rule is a scenario where the planet is actually destroyed by a event strong enough to do so. We can predict that will happen when the milky way collides with another galaxy or it could be sooner with a collision between earth and another chunk of rock big enough to do serious damage. But we can't predict when this will happen.

However history tells us something we can predict and that is the continual demise of sequential civilizations for as long as recovery is possible.

What we are seeing today is nothing more than the downhill slide of another one biting the dust.

We must agree to disagree. The Bible contains the most accurate prophecy in history that has been already fulfilled, but 2/3rds of the prophecy is does predict has not yet come true. It will come true.

Is it fear or common sense to be concern about the national debit out of control growth?

Is it fear or common sense to be concern about the FED’s money printing?

Is it fear or common sense to be concern about the out of control muni debts with state and local debit of of control and beyond any solution accept bankruptcies which will slaughter those holding muni bonds.

Is it fear or common sense to be concern about the the growing amount fraud and racketeering being done by many of our biggest financial entities? Including their embedment in most government agencies that are suppose to be a watch dog for them.

Is it fear or common sense to be concern about nearly 50 million Americans on food stamps, 100 million on welfare, and no economic progress in sight, it won’t be long before the world as we have come to know it changes drastically?

Is it fear or common sense to be concern about that we are going on years now since the economy has even been able to create more jobs per month than people that are entering the workforce, much less create jobs for those who lost theirs. And that the largest part of the jobs being created are low level entry jobs or part time and that may business right now are turn what were full time jobs with befits into part time jobs with none due to Obamacare.

Speaking of Obamacare is it fear or common sense to be concern about the fact that already hard pressed are about to be hit with astronomical increasing in their medical insurance premiums?

Is it fear or common sense to be concern about who’s going to buy our debt now that both China and Japan are sliding?

Is it fear or common sense to be concern about the fact that real wages are slide to rates below the 1950’s?

I think I have no idea if women are, but I do believe we all are.

Face it other than the oil patch you keep yammering about there isn’t any area of the economy that is doing well. Most are down, threading water, or doing mediocre at best. And when the new taxes kick in and the FED tappers it will leave no gas for the engine.

You don’t get out much, then.

The highways are packed because people are buying cars because they are employed. That’s why you are kvetching about traffic being bad.

Restaurants are packed because people are employed.

Flights are packed because employed people are traveling to jobs and vacations.

The oil patch can’t hire people fast enough.

Web developers can’t be hired fast enough.

Phone app developers can’t be hired fast enough.

DNA programmers can’t be hired fast enough...the entire medical research field is going gang-busters!

3D printers. Electric cars. Cloud Computing and Data Storage. Web 3.0.

The U.S. is building a new LNG *export* port because we are producing so much natural gas.

Crowdsourcing. New books and movies are being crowdsourced by sites like Kickstarter.com.

Everyone who wants to work has a job.

The *only* able-bodied people who are unemployed are those who are too spoiled to move or change fields.

Slackers.
