U.S. moves one step closer to Civil War – SCOTUS strikes down DOMA
Freedom Outpost ^ | June 26, 2013 | Shea Bernard

In a victory for sexual perverts in States where it is legal for deviants to be married, The Supreme Court of the United States has spit in the face of Almighty God and every true Christian in this country, and ignored thousands of years of human history in which homosexual ACTS have been tolerated by some, but never have they allowed to marry on a de facto or de jure basis, by striking down the provisions of DOMA that deny sexual deviants the same Federal benefits of marriage.

The Court reasoned that it is unconstitutional to deny marriage benefits to some married couples but allow them for others. On a strictly legal platform, this is not surprising, and frankly was expected. In effect, they are leaving it to the States to decide. States that do not recognize pervert marriages still are not required to do so, and do not have to provide State benefits to same-sex couples, nor recognize same sex marriages of couples who move to their States married in one that permits it, but are merely saying that the Federal government may not give to one group what it does not give to another.

The error in this reasoning is that homosexuals are not a federally recognized protected class, yet the majority court seems to have ignored this axiom. The really disturbing part of this ruling on Doma is that it opens the door for States to permit incestuous, polygamous, and incestuous polygamous marriages; equal rights for all means ALL, right? It appears that the Court did not think this through to its logical conclusion.

To: who knows what evil?
G-d is going to do something about it.

Got that right. At some point soon our energies will turn to dodging lighting bolts and trying not to turn into pillars of salt.

I’m with you on that point. I’m retired military, NCO and officer, and I know very well that just like the Civil War in particular, a large portion of the senior officer corps (Colonel and above) are self-serving political weasels. That is not to say that there are not some who are true patriots, just that they are few. For those political generals, they can issue all of the orders they want but that does not mean that those orders will be obeyed.

Indeed it is.

Secession accomplishes this without the burden of dragging blue states along.

Why, exactly, does Texas need the federal government?

It’s already legal in NY, as you may recall.

I’d always planned to at least visit each of the 50 states one time in my life. I got relatively close. But the remaining states are fag-marriage states, and I just have no interest in stepping foot in any of them. Indeed, I really don’t even give a damn what happens to them... natural disasters, 9/11-style terrorist attacks, whatever. I don’t even recognize them as fellow states. Obama-voting blue state perverts want to celebrate faggotry, they can just go burn in hell.

I have much more issue with the Prop 8 ruling than DOMA. There is reasonable argument that DOMA stretched the powers of the Federal government. While I hate handing the wackos a victory, it may not be an unsound decision.

I agree; DOMA was a mistake for several reasons: moving the definition of marriage into the realm of the Federal is one, and moving it into the realm of legal definition another (by making it a legal definition there is implicit assertion that the law, and therefore government, has authority over it). IMO, it would have been better to simply require people to use the 7th Amendment instead of relying on legal definition for federal issues like pensions & survivor benefits. (A jury-trial would let society judge what a marriage is in every such case, without involving the FedGov.)

The Prop 8 ruling has basically removed the power of the people in governance. The citizens of California (of all places) voted overwhelmingly to prevent gay marriage. The government decided not to support the law on the books. Other parties took it to court and the courts have now said the people do not have standing to defend the law of the land. Basically, elected officials have all the power, and citizens have none. Very frightening precedence.

This is the key point — and most disturbing.

I didn’t think it was passed yet in NY. I think NY recognized others but not in NY itself for the performance of it.

While it is disconcerting, we are seeing a natural progression in the lifecycle of a nation.

Glubb Pasha learned that different empires had similar cultural changes while experiencing a life cycle in a series of stages that could overlap. He generalized about empires having seven stages of development, identifying these successive ages as follows:

1. The age of outburst (or pioneers).

2. The age of conquests.

3. The age of commerce.

4. The age of affluence.

5. The age of intellect.

6. The age of decadence.

7. The age of decline and collapse.

We are clearly now in the age of decadence. If we are to believe that human nature doesnt change, then there is little uncertainty about our future. Read:

I’ve been listening to a shorter version of this song lately, sung by Andy Williams.

It seems to be an appropriate time to post the full content of this magnificent hymn.

“Battle Hymn Of The Republic”

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword;
His truth is marching on.

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

I have seen Him in the watch fires of a hundred circling camps
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps;
His day is marching on.

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His day is marching on.

I have read a fiery Gospel writ in burnished rows of steel;
“As ye deal with My contemners, so with you My grace shall deal”;
Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with His heel,
Since God is marching on.

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Since God is marching on.

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat;
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet;
Our God is marching on.

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Our God is marching on.

In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us live to make men free;
[originally …let us die to make men free]
While God is marching on.

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! While God is marching on.

He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave,
He is wisdom to the mighty, He is honor to the brave;
So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of wrong His slave,
Our God is marching on.

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Our God is marching on.

You mean a civil war in which one side has almost all the corporations, media, banks, scientists, engineers, lawyers, foreign allies, ports, and bond issuance capacity, and the other side has ... a modest advantage in older men who know how to shoot a rifle?

However, I’d take up arms in a split-second for red-states like my state of Texas, to fight this cancer.

You will not be lonely in that quest...

The left is winning the war, while our side pimps blogs and tries to sell junk to each other, post bible verses, and otherwise shake their fists warning about “civil war”.

Speak for yourself. Some people are training.

Secession need not lead to war. Try to separate the two things. A group of states can secede and that will not necessitate war unless the Feds want one. These are wussifued Blue state Yankees and will not fight.

Most likely this will end up like the collapse of the USSR.
Where the Baltic Republics, the ‘Stans, etc. all got their freedom because the central government no longer had the energy to fight to maintain them.

America has rejected God. The fruits of that are a muslim president betraying and destroying the nation from within. A non functioning Congress and biased and political Supreme Court ignoring law and creating chaos. Abortion and contraception, pornography, homosexuality, immorality, drugs, open borders, empty churches, and Hollywood making zombie movies and shows representing exactly what this country has become. There are the undead biting and attacking the living. There are those who believe in Jesus that have life within them and those that are unsaved taking the nation down another path leading to destruction. Zombies can only create more zombies by biting and spreading their sickness to the living, they can not procreate, they are barren. Gays are the same and only destroy the societies they infect by spreading their immorality and sickness. It is a twisted upside down world and lifeless without God and the true zombie apocalypse is coming soon. Jesus is the only true answer and salvation. Our founding fathers were all Christian men and new this and believed they were creating a new Israel when creating a Christian nation on principal in our laws and in our Constitution, that had no need to define marriage. Little did they know that it would be America that helped create the actual rebirth of the true nation of Israel. That job is now done and Jesus will come for His church soon and America is in its last days. Those that believe in Jesus understand this. Those that think this post is fictional, imaginary, irrational, and silly ramblings of a religious homophobe are scowling and laughing. It will be a dreadful and fearful day when the Father, Son and Holy Ghost catch the last train and the music dies.

52%-48% isn’t exactly “overwhelming”.

But to a democRAT, liberal, socialist, leftie RAT bastard, media -- it is overwhelming, as long as they are the 52%. In fact it becomes stupendous, landslide, unassailable mandate when they are the 52%.

Hell, when Al Franken (D-MN) went up by 12 votes (eventually to 223) in the contested 2008 senate race against incumbant Norm Coleman (R-MN) out of 1.5M votes or something like that, he & the demoRATs & Mpls Star-Tribune & St Paul Pioneer Press, etc., instantly declared him to be the mandated unequivocable winner.

However whenever 52% represent a conservative, Christian, patriotic victory, then all of sudden the liberal democRAT hacks & their propoganda arm (mainstream liberal media) portray a 52% - 48% victory as underwhelming and not significant at all.
