This is the argument that gun rights proponents should be making. That might resonate more with the average person than the legalistic argument.

From an article in the belfast telegraph about the response time of police:

“We first received a 999 call from the public at 2.20pm stating a man was being attacked, further 999 calls stated that the attackers were in possession of a gun. We had officers at the scene within nine minutes of receiving that first 999 call.

“Once that information about a gun or guns being present was known firearms officers were assigned at 2.24pm. Firearms officers were there and dealing with the incident 10 minutes after they were assigned, 14 minutes after the first call to the Met.”

Eyewitnesses said that it had taken armed officers around 20 minutes to get to the scene of the attack.

A very much related article addressing the intentional importation of jihad to America - Why are we importing jihad invaders? (Geller calls for immediate halt of immigration by Muslims)

What Ticks me off is when these Law Enforcement officials claim that they are the “First Responders”to the scene of any criminal act. This is a damned Lie.

The Individual citizen is usually the first Responder on the scene. They see the incident happening and if they are properly equipped can stop the Crime in Progress.

The Governments at all levels use that “First Responder”title as a method to disarm the public by brainwashing the uneducated into agreeing that there is NO need for the Citizens to possess Firearms.

Second Amendment or not.

Our Pro-Gun organizations have to start making that as clear as possible.

Savage also credited the police in the U.S. and proclaimed they are what stands between the public and the types of individuals that would commit such heinous acts

B.S.
The police in this country are no better than those in the UK - who arrived at the scene 25 minutes later, I read.

Concealed Carry laws are changing all over the country. There is no excuse for any adult American failing to carry, know how to use and be willing to use a weapon every day, everywhere... because violence is like a bolt of lightning; you never know when or where it's ever going to strike.

Too many people have been brainwashed from birth to accept it. The thought that they are responsible for their own self defense terrifies them.

Why do you think the gov it trying to take guns away from honest, law-abiding citizens and deliberately leaving them in the hands of violent criminals?

(because they hate the normal people and love the savages)

Considering that this is the country that sends the police knocking on the doors of those that openly “hate” Islam, frankly, I am surprised more of this doesn’t happen.

American soldiers are just as vulnerable as the Brits. Very few US Army soldiers are issued side arms to begin with. A huge pet peeve of mine. Even if they were issued, they would not be armed unless in a combat zone.
