Michael Savage: 'What stands between us and what happened in London? Guns, guns, guns'
Daily Caller ^ | May 23, 2013 | Jeff Poor

In the wake of a pair of terrorists slaying a British soldier in the streets of London, talk show host Michael Savage pointed out Wednesday one key difference between the United States and the United Kingdom: Second Amendment rights.

“Now what stands between us and what happened in London?” Savage asked. “Guns, guns, guns — only guns, only guns. And this very same gang that wants to flood this country with 50 million, 30 million, 20 million, 11 million — you pick the number, pick it out of a hat — illegal aliens, it’s all amnesty for every one of them — also wants to take your guns away — Durbin and the rest of them want to seize your guns.”

But Savage also credited the police in the U.S. and proclaimed they are what stands between the public and the types of individuals that would commit such heinous acts.

This is the argument that gun rights proponents should be making. That might resonate more with the average person than the legalistic argument.

It would work in downtown Chicago, Boston or NY. No problem. The police response would be quicker , but they would have shot some innocent bystanders due to lack of training.

From an article in the belfast telegraph about the response time of police:

“We first received a 999 call from the public at 2.20pm stating a man was being attacked, further 999 calls stated that the attackers were in possession of a gun. We had officers at the scene within nine minutes of receiving that first 999 call.

“Once that information about a gun or guns being present was known firearms officers were assigned at 2.24pm. Firearms officers were there and dealing with the incident 10 minutes after they were assigned, 14 minutes after the first call to the Met.”

Eyewitnesses said that it had taken armed officers around 20 minutes to get to the scene of the attack.

Ft. Hood is a government mandated gun-free zone.

The streets of Waco or Ft. Worth, aren't.

A very much related article addressing the intentional importation of jihad to America - Why are we importing jihad invaders? (Geller calls for immediate halt of immigration by Muslims)

What Ticks me off is when these Law Enforcement officials claim that they are the “First Responders”to the scene of any criminal act. This is a damned Lie.

The Individual citizen is usually the first Responder on the scene. They see the incident happening and if they are properly equipped can stop the Crime in Progress.

The Governments at all levels use that “First Responder”title as a method to disarm the public by brainwashing the uneducated into agreeing that there is NO need for the Citizens to possess Firearms.

Second Amendment or not.

Our Pro-Gun organizations have to start making that as clear as possible.

It occurs to me that Mr. Durbin is protected by people whoa re ALL carrying guns.

Why doesn’t Mr. Durban take THEIR guns away first?

B.S.
The police in this country are no better than those in the UK - who arrived at the scene 25 minutes later, I read.

Concealed Carry laws are changing all over the country. There is no excuse for any adult American failing to carry, know how to use and be willing to use a weapon every day, everywhere... because violence is like a bolt of lightning; you never know when or where it's ever going to strike.

Even if Ft. Hood is a government mandated gun-free zone,

Some pair of nuts start hacking people in uniform (or not) with knifes and machetes, while shouting ‘aloha ackbar’, will be gang tackled. (I hope)

None of the video taping of terrorists ‘explaining’ things crazy stuff.

Too many people have been brainwashed from birth to accept it. The thought that they are responsible for their own self defense terrifies them.

Why do you think the gov it trying to take guns away from honest, law-abiding citizens and deliberately leaving them in the hands of violent criminals?

(because they hate the normal people and love the savages)
