I feel a ground shift ever since Cruz, Lee, and Paul beat down the anti-gun bill last month... more GOPers are ignoring the RINOs and standing up to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I hope you are right..

It was bad enough that he signed on, but then he went all out to defend the stupid thing. Gotta wonder if this wasn’t a plot to discredit him forever in the eyes of conservatives.

Ted’s my man. And Sarah is the reason. However the team gets real thin from there. I don’t trust anyone much from there.

Frankly, I don't care anymore whether Marco Rubio was set up by the Democrats and anti-conservative RINOs that run the GOP or is simply misguided, he showed terrible judgement by allowing himself to be tied to a bad bill that is a disaster for America. We're already reeling under the endless flow of illegal aliens sucking up jobs and welfare benefits, not to mention how many would-be terrorists have already sneaked into our county through our porous southern border.

This thinly disguised amnesty bill is rubbish and something that only a fool would endorse. McCain endorsing this trash is understandable, he's proven time and time again that he is a Democrat at heart and wears the Republican label with discomfort.

As far as this conservative is concerned, Marco Rubio is dead to me.

I live 100 yards from Mexico in Texas. I do not support any immigration bill except send them back home and get in line. Put anyone in jail or fine the hell out of anyone who hires them. If we truly need the labor then let more in legally with REAL background checks starting with the ones who have been in line for years that can pass the background checks.

Good post.

"But other than that, how did you like the play, Mrs. Lincoln?"

Thanks for outing yourself, Marco Rubio, you had 'em fooled.

You’ve probably summed up the situation better than anything I’ve read all week.

As far as Rubio and the “tea party,” for anyone paying careful attention, he was distancing himself from it ever since he was elected. All while cozying up to McCain, the GOP-E, and its northeastern moneymen. That’s why I wasn’t particularly startled when he began pushing this amnesty grotesquerie. I’d already figured this guy out. And it wasn’t a pretty picture.

Also of note is how Rubio had been getting the most jaw-droppingly positive press. FoxNews was pushing him like the second coming. It was downright unseemly. I knew the whole GOP beltway crowd was ‘up to something.’ They were all prepping Rubio to be their amnesty salesman.

Well said.

Rubio has amnesty as a core belief. He is John McCain with a 'accent' and without the military service.

Marco 'let my people go' Rubio.

Watch as he pushes for 'Intervention' in Syria and every other hell hole in the world. He drank the koolaid years ago.

Wondering aloud . . . why isn't Rubio asked, when interviewed by any conservative talkie . . .
"Why is it important to make legal citizens out of over 11 million people who are satisfied, it seems, to work in the shadows?"
"How will natural Americans benefit from new employment competitors?"
"Can you discuss, with specifics, the proposition your proposal makes on page 831 of the bill?" (knowing, of course, that he's read substantially none of it)

Just think Rubio and Jason Collins come out of the closet in the same month.

I disagree Rubio HAD tremendous potential.

He COULD HAVE been a credulous voice against leftism. He SHOULD understand that bringing Mexicans (largely who will become citizens if they grant amnesty) through our leftist indoctrination mills we call schools is s death sentence for this country. Instead he willingly chose this route.

I can only be led to one of the following conclusions:

1. He's stupid and he really thinks there is a chance these immigrants will ever vote anything but socialist

2. Something is in it for him. Or so he thinks.

I’m surprised, the NR crowd is now fully run by RINO’s and non-conservatives.

Dumped my subscription years ago. I still look at NRO just too see the idiocy. Yesterday Ramesh Ponnuru was whining about Ted Cruz because he didn’t “follow Senate protocol.”

The Constitution is burning and NR is fiddling protocol?

“I was under the impression that NR had come down for amnesty. We need to keep up the pressure.”

I believe you may be correct, yet people like Krauthammer who are in favor of major immigration reform also HATE this bill, and by extension what Rubio is trying to do.

It’s just a bad piece of legislation- a big, hot mess like Obamacare, packed with loopholes and elements of the prog political agenda

Even they know it’s a bad bill- a number of people pumping GOP participation in major immigration reform don’t think too much of it

You caught Jay Leno's quip about how the new term for "illegal immigrant" should be "undocumented Democrat"...?

Like I said, even a tinseltown Lib like Leno had this scheme all figured out, yet Rubio walked right in to this pathetic set up. It's obviously a no win situation for him.

Compared to Moronic Marco, even a Senate dimwit, like Patty Murray, now looks like a beacon of brilliance.
