Call their bluff. Wherever you stand politically, we can all agree on that, right? If youre a liberal, you want to see the fair, balanced, impartial LA Times newsroom rise as one and walk out in protest of having to work for libertarian oligarKKKs. If youre a conservative, you want them gone for different reasons, partly as a smoking gun of bias and partly because itll clear the decks to hire more neutral reporters. And if they dont walk out, thats okay their cheap bravado will have been exposed in all its cheapness.
Call their bluff. Break the lefts media monopoly. Then rename the paper the Los Angeles Kochtopus, just to spite them.

Once the Koch brothers take over, the remaining half quits. Yipee!!! We can all dream.
As long as the other half are fired, it sounds like a great business plan.
BS
Your job opportunities are shrinking...
You’ll stay and work slavishly...
Can you say “Paper or plastic?”
Your threats are as hollow as your writing...
Well, that’s a start.
Great, nothing like unopinionated news people. Go find a job at MSNBC where you belong.
If only I had billions... I’d buy the Times and hire freepers to run it as a free daily :-)
“Would you like fries with that?” “Six inch or footlong?” “You want me massage there?” “Can you spare a quarter?”
So...
What’s the down side?
Is there a downside here?
And this probably applies only to the news and editorial staff in any case.
Maybe they’ll actually report news, then.
Here’s the deal....one or two guys might move onto better opportunities. The rest will all lose thirty percent of their pay as they move. They might be lucky to get hooked up with the Tulsa newspaper, or some paper in Mobile, Alabama. It is a lousy time to go and find journalist work and frankly...they just might have to revamp their dreams for the next decade. It won’t be pretty.
Sounds very good to me.
I’d rather like to see a good many papers bought out by people not owned by the left.
The leftwingtards should be rejoicing that the Koch Bros are throwing away their money like that.
They quit?
Good.
Means the paper won’t have to pay any sort of unemployment compensation or severance package.
Is that a threat or a promise?
Once the liberal reporters quit because of the evillllllllllll Koch Bros., and they hire some new decent editorial staff, the news media won't be lying anymore when they call the Tribune a "conservative paper". The new staff can start by apologizing to readers for the paper's past support of Jesse Jackson Jr. and dozens of other Chicago machine crooks.
