“Nor do we any longer have free and fair elections.”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I was certain of that before reading your post. What I wonder about now is just when is the last time we DID have a free and fair election. If you consider the blatant media bias and attempts by the media to influence the outcome it may be decades.

Both of our neighbors, Canada and Mexico, have more integrity in their elections than we do. Both have voter ID requirements, but to our Democrats, this “intrudes” on fairness. Yeah, right.

“Heck, many FReepers believe this ship can be righted by working within the “system”.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I had an uncle who served in the Army during WWII, he was something of a joker and was said to have given an account once while “in his cups” of crossing the Atlantic on a troopship which encountered a terrible storm. Uncle Joe supposedly said that he spent the entire night on deck running from one side of the ship to the other to push the high side down and prevent it from capsizing. I find that more credible than the possibility of saving this “ship of state by running from R to D and back in the voting booth.

The problem is that all political parties have endorsed cheating and voter fraud, no group has nor ever will had any true innocence.There has to be a totally new concept, one that can work but nobody wants it because in theory it eliminates cheating.

DNA identity tags, combined with a retinal scan, only one per person and it goes to a national not local database.

Thats the problem, everybody WANTS to cheat, nobody is wearing the white suit of innocence.

Unless you hand over the voting to an outside neutral country representative rampant vote cheating will continue forever more.

We the people can fix this mess. We do not need a foreign entity to do what needs to be done.

We need to clear the decks and start fresh. We have a good foundation, our Constitution.
Many people need to be rounded up and put in prison. Basically we need to take back our government by force. It isn’t easy work, but has to be done. We are way beyond fixing this at the ballot box.

I’ll tell you what....joke or no joke, I would proudly run port and starboard while your uncle runs bow and stern if it meant this Country would be right again.
