Bombing Suspects’ Immigration Story Adds Layer to Debate on Overhaul

WAYNE, Pa. — With the television in her pizzeria showing an endless loop of the Boston manhunt on Friday, Bessie Kontis glanced up at scenes of the quasi-military lockdown and shuddered.

“After something like that happens, they should stop all visas, for crying out loud,” said Ms. Kontis, 58, who owns New Wayne Pizza with her husband, Alex. “It’s insane. It just angers me.”

Ms. Kontis was born in Greece and immigrated to the United States as a child, but when two men of Chechen heritage were identified as the suspects in the fatal Boston Marathon bombings, her usually broad views about immigration became colored by concerns for national security.

“That is who’s coming in,” she said. “We don’t know what kind of people they are. The bottom line is we have to stop being goody-goody Americans.”

As a national debate over major immigration reform begins in Congress, some opponents are pointing to the Boston bombings as cause for concern about expanding visa programs and offering millions of illegal immigrants a path to citizenship.

On Friday, Senator Charles E. Grassley, a senior Iowa Republican on the committee debating the plan, which is proposed by a bipartisan group of eight senators, said the terrorist bombings should figure into the debate. Some conservative commentators and Congressional Republicans want to shift the focus away from economic and humanitarian concerns to border security and the potential threat from terrorists entering the country....

That layer was already there. It’s only liberals who follow an agenda instead of their brains (if any) who ignored it until now.

Our nation has gone through immigration problems in the past. I grew up in an area with segregated neighborhoods. There were Micks, WOPs, Pollocks, Hunkies, Swedes and so on; each living in their own neighborhoods. We went to the same high school where we basically got along besides race wars in the 70's. We all spoke American, but many had parents that either didn't or were bilingual. My mom was/is bilingual. Her side of the family came from Finland. My contemporaries and I had two things in common. We were Christians and American.

That was the melting pot of our fathers. It didn't mean that we agreed on everything or didn't fight each other. But we all worshiped the same God and we certainly didn't pray five times a day to a space rock in Mecca and worshiped a pedophile prophet.

Our immigration policy needs to preserve what it is to be American. The two foundational elements are speaking American and being Christian. (Ok, Jews are allowed too, but not the socialist variety. Lol)

I’m writing an email to AlL Senators and ALL congressmen:

You lawmakers have blood on your hands.

you continue to let immigrants into the U.sA. that perpetrated 9/11 and Boston marathon bombings. even now you want to let more in with your magnificently stupid immigration/amnesty bill. that is called treason.

What actually needs to happen is to repeal all the immigration acts and return to pre-1965 immigration act America, when then America was actually growing economically and not becoming socialist and infiltrated with terrorists. It is the 1965 immigration act and the subsequent Amnesties that have led to the decline of America and terrorism.

If you don’t do the right thing to turn back this country into the capitalist free market, ownership , non-terrorism filled society it was then you are traitors to America, traitors to freedom : socialism doesn’t work and these people you are importing from the 3rd world since 1965 are not Americans and believe in socialism so that’s the problem. You will have more blood on your hands if you let in more terrorist immigrants and more socialist immigrants

an American

I’m doing my part you all write your senators and congressmen your thoughts

Here's the real foundation of America ~ it's a nation that existed even when the Europeans thought it was a bunch of colonies. It existed from the very beginning when rough men with skill set out into a desolate, drought wracked, very dangerous continent to figure out how big it was, and where's the gold!

That's roughly 1541.

BY 1776 things had changed a lot and many more rough men had arrived, and there were houses, towns, stores, some roads ~ not just the rugged animal tracks and the 'warriors paths' here and there.

America's main intersection was in the East on the Old Carolina Road, formerly the Great Warrior's Road of the Iriquois, and the path leading West from what is now Washington DC along what would become US 50.

That maximized travel by water North and South. There was no US 1. Ben Franklin had absconded with the Brits money and not built it.

In the West, the main intersection was the MIssissippi and its tributaries ~ BTW, what we call the Ohio was considered part of the main course of the Mississippi in those days since no one was sure what the longest tributary was ~ but the flow of water in the Ohio is a full 90% of the Mississippi.

That was America ~ somewhere in there, and when the Cahokia MIlitia ~ on the illinois side of the MIssissippi ~ just across from the Spanish Royal Town (Villa de real) we now call St. Louis ~ heard the clarion call of REVOLUTION which asked all patriots to come together with the Congress and General Clark, they grabbed their Spanish Flag and rushed to Spain's one time fort on the St. Joseph River in Michigan and took it back!

I"d read through that part of history many times until I figured out what people were doing here before serious British settlement in the early 1700s. They were building a nation, and the Patriots in Boston, New York, Pennsylvania, the Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and elsewhere knew those folks were out there and would back them to the very end.

I don't think the Founders knew how many of them there were, but they knew they were around and were prepared, unbidden to sacrifice everything for the new nation.

The Mexican and Central American narco-crime syndicates will probably hurt us more than the Jihadis.

Immigration isn’t supposed to be about what’s good for the world’s people; it’s supposed to be about what’s good for Americans. And they lie and they lie and they lie and tell us what is hurting us is good for us.

From the book by Carl Ekberg: Stealing Indian Women: Native Slavery in the Illinois Country

Jesuit and Recollet missionaries settled the Illinois country early on - @ 1680...

"The Jesuits claimed: "Not a cape was turned, not a river entered, but a Jesuit led the Way"

The People said: The Jesuits (black robes) are damnable liers (liars). (Even the most amateur of historian knows the actual explorers of New France (Canada and the American West) were without question the Coureurs de Bois and Metis.)

The real history of North America is buried deep.

The claims of the French notwithstanding, the river at the bottom of the map of Novelle France 1709 is actually the St. joseph, not the Ohio ~ which means DesIsles based his map on information acquired BEFORE Queen Anne's War.

The notes hither and yon about the jesuits have to do with the dispute between Philippe I/II and a number of Spanish cardinals regarding which orders would get to convert America.

The cardinals won when one of them, who'd been involved earlier in an anti-pope situation, threatened schism. Philippe i/II opened up the whole place to every order, much as his son Philippe II/iII would divide up America.

The dispute, settled at the top, came back during the period of division as America was carved up along the lines suggested by the Treaty of London (1604) ~ see Philippe iI/III.

The French bellyached a lot and tried to corral the woods runners but did little to advance the status of humanity in the Southernmost parts of their claimed realm.

That's why the Cahokia militia grabbed their Spanish flag rather than a French flag!

I've found a good dozen townsites laid out according to the Spanish Law of the Indies EAST of the MIssissippi and West of the Alleghenies and North of what is now the TN/MS/AL line ~ which suggest there was a lot going on in the lower midwest/Ohio country we just don't know about for the 1500/1600 period.

note on the metis ~ at the time ~ up until about 10 years ago actually ~ it was not realized that the metis were totally indigenous people. they were believed to be mostly mixed French and Indian. The discovery of the Sa'ami X-factor gene sequence pretty much nailed down the fact they were of European ancestry from very ancient times ~ 20,000 to 24,000 years ago.

Without writing, they left no history ~

Real easy to look up ~ try SAAMI FULBE BERBER YAKUTS CHEROKEE ~ that should give you an entry into the world of the X-Factor Gene Sequence. They’ve found other relationships ~ and archaeological evidence. Or, start here ~ http://saamiblog.blogspot.com/2007/12/prehistoric-genetic-link-of-amazigh-and.html ~ and continue on to whatever boards you like. There’s an awful lot of stuff.

On Friday, Senator Charles E. Some conservative commentators and Congressional Republicans want to shift the focus away from economic and humanitarian concerns to border security and the potential threat from terrorists entering the country....

This lady is wiser than herd of criminal politicians and bureaucrats. She has put her finger on both the problem and the solution. Offering mindless PC humanitarian aid to a fault, at the cost of American lives forever, as far as they are concerned.
It's effortless for those who set their own salaries, have 24 hour protection, make rules for everyone from which they exempt themselves, and send tens or hundreds of billions of $ to countries which breed these animals and who as a group (the umma) daily promise to enslave us.

Of course, the simplest solution is simply a permanent total ban of all visas from terrorist producing countries.

In lieu of that, a modest proposal.
Even if we weren't wasting huge amounts of wealth and blood, all these countries insist that they are sovereign nations, perfectly able to deal with their own problems and solutions. Including, presumably, dealing with their own criminals at their own expense, with no help from us whatsoever.

Applicants for visas to the United States shall be clear of any criminal history, and free of association with any radical associations of any kind. Don't like our rules? stay home.
First of all the solution consists of eliminating entirely all financial military aid or "charity" of any kind; it smacks too much of tribute (or extortion.) Second, all applicant for visas to the United States for any reason whatsoever shall be thoroughly vetted by the country of origin and certified to be terrorist-free. How it is accomplished is the applicant's problem and his country's.

Any false security certification will result of total exclusion of any further visas from that country for at least one year. Any additional violation will ressult in permanent ban of all visas from that particular country. Also, no further permanent "humanitarian" visas will be permitted. All Humanitarian visas will be conditional for a period of 5 years.

Any misdemeanors commited will increase one additional year of probation. Any felonies will result in immediate deportation and permanent bar from any return. Marriages of convenience will be ignored. Application for naturalization must include an oath confirming no allegiance to any other country or religion which demands adherence to any civil law other than the U.S. Constitution. Any Naturalization shall be conditional for a period of ten years, and if obtained fraudulently shall result in immediate deportation.
