I agree with the author of this article that Potter deserves our support. You can email websales@edenfoods.com and info@edenfoods.com if you want to let them know NOT everyone agrees with them about this.

This is a fabulous example of how the social wing and the libertine wing of the conservative movement can join together. I congratulate the FPC for publishing this and publicizing this, even though the CEO of Edens Foods hardly sounds like a social conservative warrior. This is the recipe folks!

Agree 100% with Potter. This is not a religious argument, it’s an argument over the power and jurisdiction of the fedguv. Do they or do they not have the power and jurisdiction to tell a private individual how to compensate an employee? I say no. Do they have the lower to tell a private company what services they must offer? I say no.

This CEO articulated the issue perfectly. Many seem more comfortable just addressing it from the religious perspective but I’ve always objected to the idea that the federal government can dictate what benefits a company will offer or not. It is bad enough that corporations and small businesses have been turned into virtual extensions of the federal government where tax collection etc are concerned but this kind of thing takes it far further. I’m not familiar with Eden Foods but I’ve become a regular customer of Wholefoods after their brave CEO spoke out and we frequent HobbyLobby so I’ll be checking out Eden Foods. We need to reward those companies that stand up for liberty.

BTTT!!! I love their seasoning salt, Gomasio, and plan to find as many other products of theirs as I can. No soy though, shudders.

Dear Lord, please share your strength.

I’m hardly part of the “liberal, crunchy crowd”, and I eat their products.

The Feminist use to claim or say " Stay out of our bedrooms and keep off our bodies " .

And now this ? seems all to real and close to being Orwellian.

I hope he doesn’t back down. He’s getting a lot of flack from the Fluke types on the FB page.

It’s this fellow - and other amoral people like him - who’ve gotten us into this mess of wickedness. And I’m supposed to cheer for him? Or worse, join forces with him??

Why? So together we can draw the line where HE wants it??

No, thank you. Let him stand up for what’s right and I’ll be standing there beside him. Let him come and make common cause with US for a change.

The devil is come to claim his due from cowards like Potter. (And all I get is a smile from the irony.)

The Sandra Flukes of the world are out in full force on their FB page...but thankfully some liberty minded folks are showing up too:

I wonder how the media would handle this if a Muslim owner objected to paying for contraception.

I’ve been actively commenting on their FB page in support of his decision. Now it is important that other posters here know just how dastardly Potter is before they decide to join in any support. I am a servant of the evil Patriarchy so it was no stress for me at all. You should know that,

Potter has bought up the world supply of oral contraceptives and other birth control devices. No woman, anywhere, ever again will have access to birth control.

Potter personally is involved in every medical decision his female employees and their doctors make. If he disapproves of any of these decisions tough luck for the gal.

Potter puts Viagra in pez dispensers for the guys who work for him.

Potter forces his employees to abide by the teachings of the Roman Catholic church, at work and in their own homes.

Potter must offer birth control coverage because his employees have earned their insurance. It is just like their paycheck. Which explains why no insurance company ever in the history of the world has ever denied a claim.

Potter must go to reeducation camp and build a Sandra Fluke float to ride in the PP “We Love Gosnell” parade.

At least that is the impression I got from the screeds attacking him.

I think the one big regret Potter will have is that he did not know till now just what sort of psycho hose beasts bought his products. If he had maybe he could have done something to drive them away sooner.
