The old boys circle the wagons and tell him he gets NO money for his state no matter how needy. They all “come around” when that threatens his re-election.
True. The same thing happened in my state of Florida with Governor Rick Scott bowing down for some Omama money. Thank God our conservative legislature stopped him. Allen West needs to primary Rick Scott and become our Governor.
Oh yeah... I would go for Allen West to primary out Rick Scott. In fact, the GOP will lose to a Dem Charlie Christ if they do not dump Scott
Easy fix. All you need is one man of integrity to say “OK” and go to MSNBC and spill the beans.
Then let the old boys club, dems included eat it’s own. MSNBC would go into a frenzy of attack and we would finally be rid of the GOPEstablishment that has so thoroughly screwed us.
Because MSNBC is too dumb to realize they’d be cutting their own throats and that the left would, after realizing the error, turn on them for having done it.
A twofer. But since there are only a couple with enough balls and decency to yell the truth about those backroom armtwists, we;ll likely never see it happen.

I worked for the Washington state senate one session.
The senator I worked for had a VERY popular bill. We thought it would sail through both houses and onto the Gov’s desk.
Then a lobbyist wanted something changed. So we met with the guy to tell him that what he wanted changed would change the scope of the bill, killing it on arrival.
The lobbyist said to my Senator “Neal, we put you in office and we can take you out”.
To my boss’ credit, he did not change the bill, it failed. But he did only serve one more term. Couldn’t stomach that crap.
Come on! He took on Specter in 04’. Give him 12 years. After all-he’s in Pennsylvania! When is he up?

Since when has it been legal to deny any American their rights without due process? Isn’t it required that a person be adjudicated mentally deficient by a court of law to do that? This bill opens up taking 2nd Amend. rights or any other rights based on what’s in your medical records. We’re in Stalinist Soviet territory now.
Absolutely. These measures in Toomey-Manchin would seem to be illogical (insane?) actions to an onlooker. The only way they make sense is that — as you say — they are shamelessly pushing their Stalinist agenda, dims and rinos alike.
Well, at least the agenda is even MORE obvious today than it was yesterday.
This bill is the coup d'état on the Constitution.
