Cheap Guns and Second Amendment Opportunity: Terra Haute, Indiana, 13 April, 2013

A gun turn in event in Terra Haute, Indiana delivers an opportunity for brave Second Amendment activists to obtain some nice guns for little money. Their actions would also create a media event to protect Second Amendment Rights.

The event will be held at Meadows Shopping Center on April 13th, a Saturday. These events are political theater, designed to delegitimize gun ownership and armed citizens.

Across the country, freedom fighters are showing up at these events, and offering cash for the better specimens. This should be welcomed by event organizers, if their purpose is to "get guns off the streets". This is because such activity stretches the turn in dollars, prevents poor widows from being defrauded of their valuable property for a pittance, and places guns that are not wanted in responsible hands.

Private sales are perfectly legal in Indiana, as they are in most states.

Here are numerous links showing private individuals purchasing guns at numerous events across the country:

Another opportunity for brave Second Amendment defenders. This may not be the nicest neighborhood. Local knowledge appreciated. I would also love to receive a local report and pictures, if any are available.

Ironically, on that same day, 4/13/13, only 186 miles south of Terre Haute, the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot will occur and the government won’t be buying anything “back” there. I can guarantee it.

It is in a nice Terre Haute neighborhood at a small shopping center across the street from a middle school, several churches and banks.

Importantly, it is good to know the desires of the people hoping to sell their guns. Often they are offered useless stuff they don’t want, like coupons to upscale stores with high prices.

So a good way to “outbid” those offers is to offer something they know, understand and like. It could be worth the same, or even *less*, if you know what they want.

For example, if they have a gun worth $400, the gun grabbers might offer them a $200 gift card to Target. But if you figure they like Big Macs, you could offer them a gift card for “one Big Mac a day for a whole 30 day month”.

Which at an average national price of $4.20 works out to $126. However, this might sound like a really good deal to them.

A 50 pound sack of rice or dried beans is about $50.

An 8 pound bucket of Snow Cap lard at Walmart is about $10.

Sounds like a great place to set up a table and get some decent guns for good prices.

Update on the Terra Haute Turn In event:
A gun buy-back program is set for April in Terre Haute.

Terre Haute Police and Vigo County's League Of Women Voters will offer gift cards for guns.

Organizers say that the reason for gift cards instead of cash is so that people won’t take the money and upgrade their weapons.

It would be nice to show these events for the political theater that they are. Police say guns they collect will be destroyed. They'll hold the event at Meadows Shopping Center April 13th.

A good place to get Christmas gifts for the neighbors and as spares, even “burglar bait” to keep them occupied and away from better stored and more expensive items.

Maybe you have a child from church that could use some mentoring.

“A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks.”
