The mass hysteria within the Democrat party over gun violence inexplicably fails to acknowledge street gangs as the primary driver in the bloody carnage.
A new study released by the University of Cincinnati Institute of Crime Science found that in Baton Rouge, LA "43 percent of the 199 murders occurring between September 2010 and October 2012 were confirmed to be 'gang-member involved murders,' and "an additional 12 percent of the killings were found to 'likely' be 'gang-member involved murders,' a classification that includes homicides in which the victim or suspect is a known gang member" as reported by Jim Mustian for The Advocate.
Herbert "Tweety" Anny, the Director of the Baton Rouge Area Violence Elimination project which commissioned the study, says "they're the groups that are most likely to either shoot somebody or to get shot themselves."
Of course, the Democrat politicians and their media apologists won't let the facts get in the way of their cynical agenda to strip guns from law-abiding Americans.
They needed a study to determine this? Really?
And gun laws are meant so that the gangs would then be the only ones with the guns.
And more importantly, yet left out of the study, was the fact that all of these guns used by gang members were properly purchased and registered.
That will be the effect of them, at any rate. Stupid or calculated, you decide.

Street gangs are a vital part of the leftist crisis machine, they will be protected as long as they are needed.
As we recall all too recently the New York mob owned and operated legislature gave their mob owned Democrat governor a bill that left the cops unable to use any of their firearms ~ that was the impact of the 7 round magazine limit.
You'll not see Obama and his henchmen doing anything about this, but New York needs to be invaded and retrieved from the hands of the class enemy.

The left needs the street gangs to justify their agenda, enable criminals to import and sell drugs, launder money, and keep their base down (socially and economically down).
Pols and corrupt police can more easily legislate and take firearms away from law-abiding US Citizens, but trying to do that to the Crips, Bloods, MS-13 etc etc etc, would get 50-70% of the SWAT Teams killed.
You have to keep in mind that everything the left does now is about CONTROL. The more chaos the better, keep the sheep frightened and begging for protection.
The left doesn't need to do anything to enable criminals to import and sell drugs - the laws of supply and demand ensure that this will happen just as they ensured it during the Progressive-enacted Prohibition.
In other news, water is wet, the Pope is Catholic, and bears do their business in the woods.
Yep. Plus, gang violence and crime keeps the corrupt and criminal public police unions in business. Someone has to fill-out all those “after incident” reports and draw the chalk lines around the bodies.
