So Who Are The Bigots?
The American Catholic ^ | 3/27/2013

big·ot [big-uht]
a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.
Origin:
1590–1600; < Middle French ( Old French: derogatory name applied by the French to the Normans), perhaps < Old English bī God by God

Dictionary.com Unabridged
Based on the Random House Dictionary, © Random House, Inc. 2013.

A movement to redefine a basic institution of civilization into a novel form, unsupported by traditional practices or even rational justifications for gov’t involvement. Supporters commit acts of vandalism, intimidation/assault (including by law enforcement), and violence up to and including attempted mass murder; those who oppose are met with bullying attempts to silence them and ban their employment.

All of those could also apply to the introduction of laws against blacks and whites marrying.

Actual voting results do not back up claims that the fight is over, and even if they did– Truth is not determined by a majority vote. Forcing people to call a thing by a nice name does not change the thing; as was pointed out in arguments yesterday, forcing kids in a class to call everyone a friend does not actually make them friends.

LOL! I know. I was trying to make a little funny about the dictionary definition.

Definition of bigot: ...
See liberals and progressives.

Bigots? LGBT, progressive liberals, universities, and anyone else that believes that heterosexuals, religious, and conservatives/republicans should be destroyed because we don’t agree with their sick agenda. Liberals have committed more hate crimes than anyone else in this country.

big·ot [big-uht]
a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.

Case in point - note the bigotry on display in this article on "anti-Catholicism:

...the usual suspects...
...nativists, populists, progressives, eugenicists, reformers, and secular intellectuals...
...an underground anti-Catholic movement led by back-alley, low-life bigots...
...1890s populists, who believed in the supremacy of Anglo-Saxons...
...anti-Catholic code words....
...agrarian followers...
...agrarian-nativist-Protestant versus urban-immigrant-Catholic...
...the urban upper crust...
...the elite...
...Anglo-centrism...
...warped, vicious anti-Catholic pamphlets, flyers, and newspapers...
...other crackpot anti-Catholic organizations...
...anti-Catholicism as “the most luxuriant, tenacious tradition of paranoiac agitation in American history.” Arthur M. Schlesinger, Sr. concurred calling it “the deepest bias in the history of the American people”...
...while those who oppose the Church may appear more sophisticated or scientific, the level of hatred for Catholicism may not have changed much from previous eras...

“So Who Are The Bigots?”

Those who murder so called “heretics” in the name of Christ and those who defend it?

When is the last time a heretic was murdered in the name of Christ?

We can go there if you want:

But don't you think that in this time of coming persecution by atheistic forces that we might want to hold our arguments in abeyance?

“When is the last time a heretic was murdered in the name of Christ?”

Anyone who has an understanding of the Scriptures will know that’s an irrelevant question. (Matt. 23:29-36)

Why so? Jesus said this would be a time when weeds and wheat would separated.

Olive branch extended.

Olive branch slapped away.

Have fun with that.

There’s no mystery about Matt. 23 unless you can’t or won’t understand it. Do you need an explanation?

The scribes and Pharisees were not only physically descended from those who killed the prophets and righteous ones (Matt. 23:30) but the spiritual heirs, Jesus called them “offspring of vipers”, “sons of those who killed the prophets”. (Matt. 23:31-33)

These scribe and Pharisees would do the same thing as their forefathers and hence would be held guilty for all the righteous blood spilled from Abel onward, “whom you murdered”. (Matt. 23:35)

Though few of these men had killed anyone with their own hands they were murderers because they called the earlier murderers their forefathers and thus condemned themselves.
(Matt. 23:31,32)

Jesus asked rhetorically, “How are you (the scribes and Pharisees) flee from the judgment of Gehenna?” (vs.33).

Many of them did escape that judgment by ceasing to be Pharisees, Saul being an example.

The Catholic Catechism makes the point that agreeing with a sin committed makes us sinners too, participants.
