LOL, surprise, surprise... the editors at the WashPo think their fellow turd pokers should be allowed to get “married”.

Gay-rights advocates are winning the argument.

Then how do the editors explain California's Prop 8?

The most liberal of all the states.

They must move the country forward, not back.

Out in the wilderness this thought, "that we must keep moving forward and not back", is what gets people totally lost.

Religion and the cultural norms of society may seem a little out of date, but they have proved themselves over time.

As we stray further and further from our guiding light, things start to look stranger and stranger.

Nobody remembers a thing about the Fall of Rome, do they?

What public skoolz have failed to do can be rectified by simply viewing the film Caligula. If one has the stomach for it.

I guess votes mean nothing unless they lose and then, even when a majority here have voted for it,, they just run with their tails between their legs to the courts.. where they can be assured of ‘equality’ and fairness.. or they’ll piss and moan until they do win..

matters not.. Planet X is an equal opportunity globe buster.. the cries of those seeking equality will find their pleas falling on deaf ears when that baby comes back.. that’s life in the big cosmos..

Newt Gingrich was right. We no longer need Constitutional Conventions to amend the Constitution. All we need is a majority of 5 in SCOTUS.

Every time it is on the ballot, it loses. Every single time.

Actually not true. Maryland, Washington and Colorado all voted majority for gay marriage in November unfortunately.

Our state didn’t get a vote, the governor simply declare it so.

Maine passed ‘gay marriage’ by popular as well, Minnesota failed to pass an amendment. Colorado actually passed an amendment in 2006 by 56% to my understanding.

CA prop 22 passed by 61% in 2000, CA prop 8 passed by 52% in 2008. That’s swinging 9% in 8 years, it is probably repealable today, all they need is 50% +1.

When, why and how did this become a “Civil Right,” allegedly the same as civil rights struggle for African Americans in the 50s/60s?

June, is the latest I heard re: ruling.

But hearing of arguments will be held today and tomorrow. Don’t know if there are more planned.

Because the Left can not win the arguments with traditionalists’ view.

After they re-frame it as a ‘struggle for equal justice, equal rights’, the liberals in liberal states can manage to pass the recognition of ‘same-sex marriage’ as law.

Note: this WaPo opinion piece did NOT offer the rebuttal for traditionalists’ argument.
