An Oregon public school teacher says he’s on the verge of being fired because of his outspoken views against Planned Parenthood and abortion.
Bill Diss, who taught at Benson High School in Portland for 11 years, was placed on paid leave March 19 and recommended for dismissal, the Oregonian reported. That day, the math teacher said he was given a few minutes to collect his things and was escorted from school premises by police, according to the Christian News Network.
Diss is a staunch Roman Catholic and blocked two Planned Parenthood workers from entering his classroom in September because, he said, they lacked proper identification.
Planned Parenthood is a partner in the Portland school district’s Teen Outreach Program, aimed at preventing teen pregnancy, and funded by a federal Department of Health and Human Services grant, according to the Oregonian.

Makes me sick to my stomach. This is a good man and he will be richly rewarded someday.
So glad that I decided against becoming a teacher.
It is no longer possible to peacefully stand up to the commies.

I thought tenured teachers were almost impossible to get fired.
If I had been in his shoes, and I knew I was about to get fired, I would have shown the kids in the class pictures of exactly what abortion is. I wonder how they would have received the Planned Parenthood murder-squad then.
What the dickens kind of business does PP even have in a “math class”?
If the health class teacher wanted them to speak, that might be a different issue (and I’d expect them to give equal time to adoption rescue agencies). But in a math class? It does not add up, pardon the pun.
And anyhow, for standing on school rules, they shouldn’t be canning this fellow.
The humans involved may be pretty clueless, but a “backstage view” a la Screwtape Letters might read very much like this.
My husband (a ten-year public school full-time substitute) was just fired March 4 for discussing abortion during a government class (a year ago!). He was stating Santorum’s views.

If I was one of those teens, I’d screw around with their heads and make them nervous.

The truly disturbing part is that the teens are taking all this crap seriously and treating lowlifes with respect. They also did nothing to protect the teacher who cared for them.
In a generation or two, this country will deserve total annihilation.
