Palin may have something on why Obama's buying up so much ammo: She was right on "death panels"
The Beaufort Observer ^ | March 5, 2013 | The Editors

Once again we think, Sarah Palin has hit the nail on the head. The fact is the Federal Government has in recent months stockpiled an enormous amount of ammunition. Much more than has ever been used in the past and much more than could ever be conceivably used in ordinary circumstances. So why are they doing it?

Many people, including the Zombie Obama supporters just ignore the question. Congress ignores it and the Obama Administration refuses to explain their actions.

But it goes without saying that there is a reason. And we just think Palin has as good an explanation as anyone we've heard. She writes, on her Facebook page that she believes that the government is preparing for expected civil unrest when the economy collapses. We agree.

But we think it is even worse that the government preparing for the worst. We have a gnawing suspicion that Obama and his top minions are simply preparing to survive what they plan on causing. There are too many unexplainable actions by the Obama Administration to weaken America and destroy the essence of what has made this country great. We think Obama despises American exceptionalism and he has been determined for years to "cut America down to size."

Moreover, we think there are millions of people in this country who have no clue about what Obama is doing to America. They are too self-absorbed to care. But Obama knows that when the house of cards collapses they will react and it will not likely be to congratulate him. So he needs protection. That is why he has ordered the stockpiling of so much ammunition.

I think you are exactly right. There is no way they could confiscate the hundreds of millions of weapons in our country, but they can certainly limit the availability of ammo. We are being disarmed by taking away the most crucial aspect of the weapon. We are a people that are heavily armed, unfortunately very few have large supplies of ammunition, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

Palin isn't saying anything that the rest of us haven't known for a long time, so no kudo's are deserved. We've known the government has been buying up ammunition. Even I - a simple homemaker - posted long ago that they didn't have to take our guns because they can simply control the supply of ammunition!

For several years a mystery company has been buying up firearms manufacturers through an outfit called the Freedom Group, and now we hear that the government is buying thousands of light armored tank vehicles for in the streets of the USA!

And then, of course, there is Obama's Army;

On July 2nd, 2008 Obama said; “We must have a civilian national security force just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded”...[as our military] We were warned then!

As well, buy your juice in the plastic containers with the large lids. Rinse them well when you are done, soap them out and rinse again. After they dry, fill them up with your rice and inside he lid run some hot candle wax inside the rim. Just prior to the wax “setting”, screw the lid on.
Its not perfect, but it will keep the rice a hell of a lot longer than 50 lb. bags (and yes, you need a lot of the juice bottles..I’ve been at it for a few months now).

Sadly, it isn’t a fact.

Contracts to authorize the purchase of Ammo are not the same as contracts FOR purchase of Ammo.

Government will sign contracts which offer “up to” some amount of an item, or a period of time. The business is guaranteeing that they can meet up to that amount of demand.

Then, the government will do purchase orders as needed, under the contract.

So, if you read that the feds bought 450 million bullets, what REALLY happened is that they signed a contract to purchase UP TO 450 million bullets, over the next 5 years, at a certain price.

They have locked in a price, in case ammo gets more expensive, and locked in a supply, in case it gets scarce.

There is probably a minimum purchase requirement in the contract, and a limit per year, and other details.

But at the moment they signed the contract, they didn’t have one more bullet than they had earlier.

It’s a great story, fun to talk about, but it’s time we went back to serious problems.

Like why every agency of the government has a law enforcement division.

I see no reason for him to condemn the constitution, build and arm a domestic army, hire military guards for domestic internment camps and classify political and social opponents to communism and global government as domestic terrorists, unless he’s planning to act domestically.

He’s set up war in the Middle East by putting radical Islam in power and funding them. Russia has promised if we attack Iran, they will nuke the US and Obama is making noises about attacking Iran. He’s left our borders wide open and imported a bunch of radical Islamists.

So, his domestic army is probably his plan for rule after we are nuked by his pals, the Russians. Or for economic collapse after he lights the bomb he’s laid in the Middle East.

Their task will not be a cake walk.

Another possibility that I see is that the local police would soon turn to protecting their own families and neighborhoods during massive civil "unrest". Look how the LAPD came unglued over that one ex-cop lunatic, and threw half of their force to find him, and protect every police official on that list. Also look at the huge number of cops needed to flush the Occupy RATs from a couple of city blocks. If they're not going to use deadly force, you need bigger numbers to thump a few people and haul them away.

Now imagine something like this happening in all the big, and medium, cities all across the company. In some of the liberal hellholes, there's barely enough police presence to protect the elite, much less the innocent peons, who will be under 24-hour curfew.

In steps Big Sis with her stash of 35,000 SiG P239s, 1.5 billion rounds of elite Speer Gold Dot ammo, and 2700 refurbished first-generation MRAPs. She starts making phone calls to her favorite big-city mayors and police chiefs. "Sorry to hear things are so rough for you folks. I can offer you enough handguns, ammo, and MRAPs to see you through this rough spot. No strings attached, just sign our regular memorandum of understanding that you'll follow the 'suggestions' of any of my underlings I send there to help you."

Then she calls the governors, and says, "this is the 'certain circumstance' that the president said he'd consider using armed UAVs to help you people out. We can offer one armed UAV per state, with state and DHS officials advising on fire missions."

Never even has to suggest calling out the downsized National Guard. Just promise limitless guns and ammo, and "relaxed" (no DOJ observers on the front lines) ROEs, and it's all so easy to let firepower solve the problem.

Your idea of taking the ammo is not whacky at all.

What else would explain the purchase orders specifying the normal hunting rounds; 3006,2506;22LR;20guage;410guage;etc,
that were in the 4 billion plus rounds that they have purchased. These are not normal military or LEO rounds that are used in everyday “training” excercises.

Dry up the supplies of components as well. When you bulk buy this ammo you cause a huge run on small/large rifle primers and small/large rifle primers as well as brass and powder stock. So you essentially kill two birds with one stone, the normal purchaser and the reloader.

I, as other like minded buds of mine, have been stocking up since ‘01 so feel rather comfortable at this stage of the game. I feel for the Patriot that is late to the party.

Well they may be expecting civil unrest, but what they will end up with is government unrest. The rogue LA police officer that recently got into a shootout with San Bernardino Sheriffs is one example. So obviously the more ammo they have, the less safe it us for everyone. What else should we expect.

The average armed agent used to qualify and practice with a few hundred rounds a year. Not every agent uses up ammo like an SEAL in the Teams.

The House of Representatives is the governmental body which is entrusted with the power over the "pursestrings" of the Federal government. It is unbelievable and unconscionable that some Committee of this House has not frozen any further such expenditures and called for hearings and subpoenaed witnesses from DHS to explain to the country EXACTLY what they are doing and for what purpose.

Paging Speaker Boehner ... please pick up the white phone in the lobby. 'We The People' are on the phone.

I'm not sure what's more alarming:

-The paramilitary uniforms

-otherwise normal-looking youth participating in this farce

-otherwise normal-looking youth being subjected to 13, 17 or more years of lefty indoctrination and believing this is a productive use of thought or action

Interview any one of them and the words New Orleans, Bush and/or Katrina are bound to be uttered, so solid is their programming.

Only somewhat...

Keep in mind that the American Revolution was only popular and supported by 1/3 of the population. 1/3 were pro British, and 1/3 were neutral.....

Obama’s counter American Revolution will fail, primarily because of people like you, me, and the others on this website. We’re the 1/3 that count.
