Saving the Fish to Kill the Fish

Saving the fish isn’t about saving the fish. It’s about preventing fishermen from making a living selling the fish. Otherwise, our moonbat rulers wouldn’t blow the fish to bits:

A federal mandate to remove old, abandoned oil and gas rigs in the Gulf of Mexico is blowing up a lot more than just the rigs.

Undercover video obtained by Local 15 shows thousands of pounds of dead fish, mostly red snapper, floating to the surface after one of the controversial demolitions in the Gulf.

According to marine scientist Bob Shipp, the “abominable” demolitions occur as often as three times a week, even if they aren’t normally videotaped.

The killing of the red snapper is also infuriating charter boat captains and anglers. Federal restrictions keep cutting the red snapper season shorter and quotas smaller to protect the species from over-fishing. …

The confidential source who provided Local 15 the video estimated 10,000 pounds of fish, mostly red snapper, were killed after that one demolition.

WHY THE HELL ARE THEY DOING THIS? It’s been shown that structure in the ocean leads to MORE marine life at all phases of the food pyramid.

Oh wait, that’s it, the moon bats want to destroy recreational fishing hot spots too. They’re afraid too many people will have fun burning gas to get to the rigs to fish.

They're doing this to either prove their aren't any patriots left in America to actually stop them, or they're doing this to actually START that war.

Either way, men of conscience are being put to the test ... souls being tried, if you will ... and I pray that we collectively get our heads out of our asses and stop this feral administration.

Now ... we've been discussing politics here for longer than my 14 years and so far ... nothing has stopped the destruction of America.

The same idiots also believe that saving the planet means more wind turbines that kill birds and bats.

One has to wonder why so many environmentalists hate fish, birds, and bats.

The moonbats are willing to charge big ships with small speedsters ..

They're willing to get a tree cut down with them in it ..

They're willing to chain themselves in front of raging bulldozers ..

What happened to the artifical reefs the government has made by sinking old ships? How about all the sunken ships from WWII? Are they going to drag those ships up. How absolutely stupid can this government be? Day by day they seem to out do themselves in the stupidity area.

I'm willing to do more. I will volunteer to cut down a tree with them in it.

The governments actions are stupid only to us. The government we now have is doing EXACTLY what it has intended to do all along....The destruction of America...
Their actions aren’t stupid to them...Their actions are achieving what they want.

Ever notice that when some action is suggested that will actually HELP everyday people and the economy and the country, this administration does exactly the opposite???

It’s not because they are naive or stupid...It’s because the ensuing problems caused by their actions is exactly what they want....

"WHY THE HELL ARE THEY DOING THIS?"

There are the better part of a million platforms in the Gulf of Mexico.

At some point, long ago passed, they become a navigational threat.

Okay, that's a valid point, though not given as the reason they're doing it. But really, A MILLION? Is that figure from the BLS?

As I recall, we were approaching 700,000 when I worked offshore in the early eighties. It is almost certainly more today.

Although our designed task was building platforms(derrick barge), we did one demolition on July 4th. Much fun was had by all. Our tug boats were picking up dead fish for hours.

I guess what we should do, then, is:
- fire on their small speedsters from our big ships;
- cut down the trees they are sitting in; and
- run those bulldozers, chained-up envirowhacko and all.

I know it would cause considerable outcry among them and their sympathizers, but the smarter ones among them might think twice next time...

That's why we get nowhere ...

That's not what I meant at all.

We need to emulate the wingnuts.

Face the gummint (or if they're private contractors, so be it) and fire across a few bows.

What part of, "I'm made as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" do WE not understand ?

It is surprisingly difficult to find an accurate number. I did find this:

http://deepseanews.com/2010/06/oil-platforms-in-the-gulf-how-many-and-who-owns-them/

Unfortunately, this appears to be only a count of active oil platforms(717,248,819).

There are a great many that are not there for oil. More importantly, and the focus of this article, are those that are inactive.

Not surprised by the actions of the eco-fascists.

Just finished reading “Eco-Fascists- How Radical Conservationists are Destroying Our National Heritage” by Elisabeth Nickson.

Would recommend it to anyone who wants to understand the eco-fascist moonbats, their true agenda, its unscientific dogma (i.e. biodiversity/conservation biology), how they are using this to implement Agenda 21 at the local and state level, destroying ranchers, communities and the American West and the trust fund babies, corporations and ENGOs behind this scheme.

The oil rig case fits right in with the eco-fascists dogma.
