The best part of watching a John Wayne western (40’s - 50’s) was watching the supporting actors in his troupe (Harey Carey Sr and Jr, Ben Johnson (my favorite), Ward Bond, Victor McLaglen, John Agar, and others).
It’d be hard to pick a favorite John Wayne movie. “The Searchers” would probably be # 1 or #2... High Noon was on the other day. The signature tune is awesome.
I forgot to add Maureen O’Hara. They just don’t make them like her, Susan Hayward, and Irene Dunne anymore
