I’m just wondering about when a candidate we want gets elected, will this still be considered a handy item for arrogant thugs and would-be dictators?

Since the prescient has been set it's something all Americans need to worry about. What really amazes me is the lack of outrage.

I believe you mean precedent. I dunno. What would George Washington’s army have done with a colonist who joined the redcoat army? I suppose, capture if possible and subject to military trial. If that was infeasible, then a direct attack as on an enemy would be expected.

I see a lot of outrage. This morning in the paper, there was a liberal columnist that was openly against it.
