Singer Tony Bennett Equates Isolated Gun Violence to Nazi Germany, Fears Foreign Invasion

Tony Bennett is one of America's most popular singers but he has proven once again that talent in the arts is no predictor of intelligence.

At a Wednesday press conference, the outspoken pacifist and ardent Democrat Bennett compared isolated gun deaths in the U.S. to Nazi concentration camps and said that if America did not do something to curtail violence in this country, the other countries would “take care of us in a really bad way,” just like they did in World War II to the Germans. Bizarre video and story below.

In a subsequent interview with CNN, Bennett declined to defend his comments but he did not distance himself from them either. Here’s what he said in full at the conference:

It’s the kind of turn that happened to the great country of Germany where Nazis came over and created tragic things and they had to be told off. And if we continue this kind of violence and accept it in our country, the rest of the world is really going to take care of us in a really bad way.

We should learn that we’re the greatest country because we’re all different nationalities, we’re all different religions, and we should show the rest of the world how to behave.

Tony Bennett is apparently unaware that the Nazi party was actually created in Germany and did not “come over” from some other country. He also is apparently unaware that gun control laws were one of the many restrictions placed upon citizens under Nazi domination...

Tony’s voice was a gift given him by God.

He was given this gift to make amends for having given Tony sh*t for brains.

With respect to Tony, he should enjoy a comprehensive history of San Francisco. Read of the gangs of thieves and thugs who were eventually wiped out by vigilantes. A history of the great earthquake and the exposure of what many there knew already. This in 1906.

Even although the earthquake was over fifty years from the gold rush days, where violence and murder were common, it is still any eye opener. A bit of a ramble for which I hope to be excused, but anyway.

Disaster By The Bay.

Connecticut 2003.

Things eventually were a vast improvement, in that city, as wiser heads prevailed. Tony should take time to reconsider making statements like he did. The left, as always, obviously drool at this kind of rhetoric and probably do not believe a word. (laughs)

Nazi's didn't "come over" and they weren't "told off." The Nazi's were an internal movement of Germany, the National Socialist Party. They took advantage of the 1928 German gun control laws (registration), which were enacted before they came into power, and amended them in 1938, disarming Jews particularly and everyone else generally. The resulting mayhem was staggering--genocide and Word War. The body count racked up by the Nazi's and Axis allies was in the 10's of millions.

The Nazi's (the government and their party favorites) reserved arms for themselves, while disarming everyone else. Does this sound familiar? It should. This is what the American socialists want to do -- disarm everyone but themselves and their allies/minions -- transforming us into a fascist/police state, a threat to its own citizenry and the peace of the world.

We refuse to go down this path. We know where it leads. We don't care what the screwed up world thinks. The blessings of Liberty are beyond their comprehension and their poster boy.

Someone needs to acquaint Mr Bennett with that comment by Yamamoto about not invading America because there’d be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Or by that Russian about how in the US there were just too many Coke bottles and gas stations.

Agreed. That’s why I wrote that Tony Bennetto is yearning for his Benito (Mussolini).

Holee-crab!!!!!!!!!!

Is he serious? Equating the GUN OWNERS to the Nazi’s when it was the the Nazi’s who were the GUN GRABBERS???

The US GOVERNMENT is more like the Nazi’s than the public gun owners.

And many in the old Germany and Russia said “if we had only resisted sooner” (i.e. when they grabbed all the guns!)
