Sheriffs have risen up all over our great nation to stand up against the unconstitutional gun control measures being taken. The following is a list of sheriffs and state sheriff’s associations from all over our great nation who have vowed to uphold and defend the Constitution against Obama’s unlawful gun control measures. I applaud these public servants for their courage and conviction.

I would encourage other Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers to add their voices to the growing numbers of faithful protectors of our freedom. List of State Sheriff’s Associations

I emailed the sheriff of the county where my land is, asking where he stood on this. Here's his response (names removed):

Good morning ______, This debate will work itself out and I will wait for the finished product. There are so many checks and balances in our society, that for the life of me, I can’t imagine federal agents trying to enforce “unconstitutional” regulations to begin with. This issue requires a level of cooperation between all levels of law enforcement, mental health professionals, school officials and the community in general. Thanks for your inquiry, ______

Very frustrating - Frank Denning is the sheriff of Johnson County, Kansas, not Missouri. People get confused because we’re part of the Kansas City, MO metro area. I have issues with Frank though since his security on the courthouse is so tight that I have to take off my cowboy boots.

We commend youi wll- however, by all rights, this list shoudl be a “List of al lthe STATES that are NOT goign to abide by the law- not just isolated townships that won’t comply- UNLESS there are enouygh townships and police forces throughout htde country that it becoems a large enough movement that the govvernment and NY are forced to repeal their unconstitutional laws

It's a positive stance for publicity but the reality is we don't really need to worry about the local Sheriff when it comes to enforcement of unconstitutional federal laws and regulations. We need to be concerned about federal agents, namely those from the BATFE.

What I want to hear from these Sheriffs is that they are going to ARREST any federal agents attempting to enforce or even harass law abiding citizens, firearms dealers and manufactures.

The feds don't give a crap about what these Sheriffs say and the they don't want them enforcing gun control laws. No, the feds want to conduct their illegal thuggery themselves.

So while I appreciate the sentiment of these Sheriffs, the reality is we need them to do more, a lot more. We need them to fight fire with fire. We need them to say, when the BATFE shows up, we are going show up with handcuffs take them into custody and they can call their federal supervisor while they sit in the tank for week charged with a felony offense.
