Defense deposes witness who says Trayvon was on top, Zimmerman crying for help
The Orlando Sentinel ^ | January 17, 2013 | Rene Stutzman

One of the most important defense witnesses in the George Zimmerman murder case – the one who told police he saw Trayvon Martin straddling Zimmerman and "throwing down blows on the guy kinda MMA-style," was quietly brought to the Seminole County Courthouse Dec. 11 and deposed, according to new court paperwork.

The man, identified in court records only as "witness 6," was a neighbor who told authorities he heard and saw the fight.

By identifying the clothes they wore, he told police that Zimmerman was on the bottom, was being beat up and was crying for help.

Zimmerman is the 29-year-old Neighborhood Watch volunteer charged with second-degree murder. He killed Trayvon Feb. 26 in what he describes as an act of self-defense.

Prosecutors say Zimmerman is guilty of profiling Trayvon, of assuming he was about to commit a crime, of pursuing him and murdering him.

Witness 6 was re-interviewed a few weeks after the shooting by an FDLE agent and prosecution investigators, and he backtracked, saying he was not sure who was calling for help. He also said he was no longer sure if the person on top was throwing punches or just holding down the man on the bottom. Either way, he said, the man on the bottom was trying, without success, to get up.

He was still sure, he said, who was on the bottom: the man wearing red.

That was Zimmerman...

Well that would simply make their lord and savior Obama look bad for saying any son of his would be a drugged up attempted murderer.

The only thing left is the pick of the jury, which might turn into more of a circus than the actual event itself.

Clear evidence Zimmerman hunted sweet little Trayvon down, by lying down on the ground and viciously beating Trayvon’s fists with his face.

When will people stop victiming innocent little boys like Trayvon?

It’s not clear why the depositions of witnesses 6 and 17 were taken Dec. 11 but the public “notice of taking depositions,” something typically filed days or weeks before a deposition is taken to give everyone time to prepare, was not put in the public court file until yesterday.

It is at least the second time O’Mara has deposed witnesses in the high-profile case then filed notice that he would do so after they were completed.

The article seems to get a little snarky here. So who is this “Everyone” that needs to get prepared?

To me this makes a bit of sense as this case is so high profile that to avoid witness tampering by “outside parties” you would tend to keep your depositions quiet.

Or am I missing something here?

Has Obama said anything recently about this case? I think once his team realized they couldn’t get a real riot going over it, they dropped it. Along with the war on women, this was just one part of their pathetic divisive campaign strategy.

Obama doesn’t give a rat’s butt about Trayvon or anyone else.

Who cares anymore?

The case served its purpose for the media, which was to create a galvanizing issue before the election.

Zimmerman’s civil rights are so-yesterday’s news.

But at least that “RINO” didn’t get elected, amirite?

Im out of the country again but was in Florida when this all went down. I seem to recall I heard on the radio Zimmerman was a big Zero fan, had a obama bumper sticker and his father, and family, were donors/supporters of ovomit.

Screw him!

Had The Mombasa MF married one of his “many,” “compressed,” “composite,” white “girl friends,” his son might have very well looked like Zimmerman, who is part black, too.

Given that Trayvon turned around and viciously assaulted him, I'd say his profiling was pretty accurate.

All this trial with its discovery and investigation will show is that the one page police report describing the incident that night was right on the money.

Then came the contrarians who questioned the facts that were coming to light, and falsely accused the police of conspiracy and bias all to line their own pockets and make names for themselves.

And after now a full year of accusations, and investigations, we will be back to that one page report that should have been accepted and would have settled everything.

“When is profiling a crime”

Never. We act like it is, especially when cops do it, but then it’s impossible to do cop work without profiling of some sort. What’s illegal is what profiling supposedly leads you to do. Should a cop fir instance pull you over with no probable cause and only on the basis of having profiled you, then the pulling over would be the illegal part, not the profiling.

Possibly it is considered an aggravating factor, or something along those lines. As in it is fine on its own, but when you add it onto a crime it makes it a worse crime. Sorta like how you’re free to hate but when you kill someone you hate it’s a “hate crime.”

There is no way you can get from justifiable homicide to murder two with profiling. Even if Zimmerman only followed Martin because he hates black people, the requisite mindset for murder two is “depraved indifference to human life,” or something to that effect.

Police are notorious, and documented, as pushing witnesses to alter testimony to fit THEIR conclusions.

we have anti-second amendment prosecutors working to establish precident precluding self defense.

we have profiteering lawyers for the travon family tying to circumvent the self defense immunity.

we have a MSM with an agenda and a desperation to sell dwindling value advertising and newsprint.
