This involves any retired members of the armed services that have signed up for TRICARE as their supplemental insurance to Medicare.

I have TRICARE for LIFE, as my late husband served in the USMC for 28 years as an officer.

Walgreens dropped all TRICARE prescriptions a year ago, because they were not being reinmbursed by the Federal Government.

Now, Walgreens has posted that they are losing business, because those TRICARE customers are going elsewhere for their prescriptions, and not buying other items at Walgreens.

It’s starting, folks. (And it ain’t gonna be pretty!)

I was going through some old papers yesterday and found my husband’s Retired Army Reserve magazine (can’t remember the exact name of the publication) from 2010. On the back cover, there was an article about how Obamacare was not going to affect TRICARE in any way.

“they were not being reinmbursed by the Federal Government.”

Welcome to the world of Pharmacy...

The Fed government will threaten you if you don’t fill the prescription but then they will do whatever they can to keep from paying for it even if they have to lie about losing the hundreds of ins forms you sent them.

From the article: “The layoffs are the latest in a series that followed the company's $29.1 billion acquisition of Medco in April.”

Having experienced two corporate mergers, these layoffs are not unusual.

Same thing happened when walmart quit selling fabric, other end of business declined. I rarely shop there any more.
