It shouldn’t. All libertarians have to understand that Virtue is always necessary for Freedom. You can NEVER have a civil society without Ethics-—and the only Ethical system which elevated women and the innocence of children and equality for all under the Rule of Law—is Christian Ethics.
The idea that you can separate human beings from a moral system is bizarre and stupid. Without Ethics, you can not have Justice (Virtue) and no possibility of any efficient economic system, because Trust wouldn’t exist.
All geniuses since Socrates (and Founders) and Hayek-—have stated—without Public Virtue, there is no freedom. ALL REPUBLICS (Machiavelli in Discourses) stated that they had to promote public Virtue.
Fear is what is promoted in tyrannies. BTW, Machiavelli stated in his Discourses that it is essential to promote Virtue in a military.
Why do you think Vice is being forced onto our troops today????? (Unconstitutional to promote Vice through laws in a Just country)!!!! It will collapse and destroy the morality of the military—and make them so corrupt-—like the Russian and Nazi homosexual Brownshirts-—they will have no moral qualms treating their own citizens —as dehumanized objects-—since they are conditioned into the sodomy mindset of the degenerates, devoid of morality.
