What if a revolution is required....?
1/7/2013 | Self-vanity

Posted on 01/07/2013 9:41:13 AM PST by SERKIT

What if we had a President that ran on the concept of "fundamentally changing" America, away from its founding principles, away from its traditions, and away from the Constitution?

What if we had such corrupt politicians that freedoms were reduced, slowly but surely eroded, or repealed?

What if the corrupt politicians and the anti-American President continued to oppress the people and suppress freedom?

Wouldn't a revolution only predicted, but necessary? In order to stay free, and preserve the Constitution - where politicians fail to defend the Constitution - then the people will need to defend it - by maintaining an armed citizenry. Isn't this also part of the intent behind the Second Amendment?

Will the roots of the Liberty Tree soon, once again, require fertilization by the blood of tyrants and patriots, to paraphrase one of our founders?

You have the freedom to keep and bear arms, but you don't need to - you should have the freedom of choice.

Gear up! Patriotism required.

We were one of Captain Dan Morgan’s 96 VA Rangers, fighting at the Battle of Quebec.

From his heroism at Quebec, winning at Saratoga and Cowpens, along with the fear his elite troops put in the British, Morgan saved this country, IMHO

King George III was a gentle saint compared to what we’re stuck with today.

George was insane probably from arsenic ingested accidentally.

Right now America has its first mentally ill tyrant probably a result of ingesting illegal substances instead of paying attention to Constitutional Law when he was a student.

And easily a third of the population of the geographic area now designated as “the United States of America” would support a similar resistance movement today. Even with the American Revolution, there were “sunshine patriots” and strong supporters of the Crown, theoretically in the majority, but remember, one man, with strong convictions, is a potent force that can shift that majority.

Secession should not be dismissed as a strategy, dividing the geographic area between the “red” counties and congressional districts, and the “blue” districts, and declaring separate republics. In many instances, the division would not be congruent with current state lines, so, potentially, a state like California could be divided between a thin coastal line, and the much larger interior.

Good ideas, but we should start electing county sheriffs that will stand up to the federal usurpation of power and deputize those who will not hesitate to stand for freedom.

This fight needs to start at a town/city/county level then work it’s way up to the State. We need county sheriffs that will kick the feds OUT of the county when they start harassing it’s citizens.

I sure wouldn’t be planning it or talking about it online or anywhere else out in public. Treason has consequences....even the founders understood that

Against about 1.5 million combined Federal and local law enforcement that may violate their oaths of office and follow illegal seizure orders.

I like 10:1 odds in our favor.

Uh huh, and they will give up their cushy federal jobs over principle and live in the cold...

Better to be a Fed and Fed, then Principled and starving...

In their minds of course

Can supermax hold 300 million people.

Who’s gonna pay taxes if everyone’s dead or in jail?

No but those FEMA camps they have been building lately will work as processing centers as the 1 billion bullets are used to reduce the surplus inmate population you know for “collective economic reasons.”

Maybe. Maybe not. Lots of folks glommed on to Oath Keepers and the Threepers (III%).

And yeah... Fighting for freedom Vs. armed raids on your neighbors to illegally seize their firearms?

I'm betting "sick leave" becomes an epidemic.

One of my fifth GGs also fought at Yorktown and for a year during the early dark years was a personal guard for Washington. Two others were Minutemen.

I believe that we have already surpassed the level of grievance and oppression experienced by our forefathers under the King.

One third of the population. That is the point. If a reaction to the current oppression comes it will not be a civil war of states lined up against states. It will be masses of people from across the states who stand up. Like then, not everyone will and some will oppose.

Drones are available to us as well. I have no doubt some RC enthusiasts can put together shops cranking out scores of them. Payload variable.

Some people here are incredibly optimistic about the prospect. The last Revolution was a close thing, with no guarantee the colonists would win.

I wouldn’t be too cheerful about taking on the military head on. And if you kill civilians, you will alienate the public.

I'm sure the Austrians said the same thing in 1938...

Are you suggesting that the Austrians were on the brink of revolution in 1938, but held back hoping that things would improve?

But Obama won a relatively free election. He is the people's choice.

Hitler won a free election too.

I am not planning anything. As you will note, it is all in the form of a series of questions. At what point are the truly treasonous in positions of power? I am not promoting treason, but I see bad things coming.

"What if a revolution is required....?"

There is no "IF" in the equation, and further the opposition will decide what type "IT" is to be.

Theoretically, the revolution is late in coming!
Yes, the citizenry will be the ones responsible.
However, I do think that many of ‘da city-zens’ wouldn’t do anything, but attempt to frustrate the operations necessary to remove the foul cancer in the body American. If that frustration ever began to fester, (yes, I know what I’m saying!), until the operations can continue to save this nation, a possible vermin eradication may have to happen, first.
